Can you imgine what it is like when you find yourself with a dozen or more of the "little angels" all at one go? .

Most things I can put up with, but the little fur ball that used to run up my sitting room curtains every time I sat down was a little hard to cope with:rotfl: . Was not too sorry to see that one re-homed, although, tbf, she was learning that it really did put mummy moggies nose out of joint and was beginning to curb her enthusiastic trips up to the curtain rail:rolleyes: . Had to try very hard not to let on that I was as upset as her when I had to keep shutting her in the bathroom every time she did it so that she would learn not to do it:rolleyes: . She was a lovely semi-long-haired ginger, small and round and very beautiful, and called Sherpa Tensing because when my 6'4" ex-OH went to the loo for a wee, she would run straight up his back in the same way as she did the curtains, and would then sit on his shoulder with her paws on his head:eek: . He really was very long-suffering:D

Sorry to hear you're not feeling so good, moggylover :(

L'mao was given access to the hall last night, this was her first time ever on carpet...she went utterly mental, ran round and round, had to be told off umpteen times for scratching (directed to scratching post each time, just to be given a look of disdain) and has now discovered a fun 'somersaulting off the bottom step' game. Stairgate is in place about a third of the way up so she's got enough stairs to play on but can't get upstairs. She has to be picked up to go on the sofa because she can't get up on her own and she's currently curled up next to me purring her little tiny head off :)

Thanks MC - I shall survive!

I just love watching them go clean-off like that! I have an 8 year old who just occasionally forgets all about his dignity ( ) and decides to have a manic 5 minutes with a ball or a furry mouse toy and then realises we are laughing at him and sits looking very put out and embarassed. He will then get up and stalk out of the room with his big fluffy tail waving from side to side and sticking straight up (as if to say a***holes to you then) and will sit on a chair in the kitchen having a wash and trying to look:cool: .

  • L'mao has certainly settled in now, she knows exactly what to do to test me...
She no longer needs to be picked up onto the sofa. No, now she's realised she can use my (trouser covered!) legs as a ladder. Ouch. Although, she did for the first time jump up onto the sofa alone when I put my legs under me so she's getting there. She's grown an obscene amount as well! Her newest trick is to curl up under my elbow and attack it. Over and over until I get annoyed and put her on the floor. Then she'll be cute and loving and will curl up in the crook of my arm, with the front of her stretched out over my forearm making it quite difficult to type...

She's booked in for her first jabs on Friday, which will be fun. We took her to meet her nemesis on Friday gone, the puppy we'll be bringing home on the 17th. The pup (Indy) didn't even seem to notice there was a small fluffy creature in the carrier and L'mao didn't seem even slightly bothered by this small black creature trying to eat the carrier. Hopefully that means we'll not have any problems with them together - there are plenty of puppy smelling items around our house anyway.

Oh - she's also discovered she can get through the stairgate. The gaps are too narrow for her but she's discovered if she turns her head to the side, then she can get through...not for much longer though :rotfl:

Hi, sorry I haven't posted in a while I have been busy with uni and stuff. Just to update everyone kitty has left for her new home tonight. I am gutted to be saying goodbye to her, but she is going to a lovely little family who will adore her. They have owned cats before and felt their home was too empty after their last one died. They are going to send some pictures when she has settled in.
