  • I was chuffed on Sat. Went to Clarks looking for trainers for my daughter, found a pair that fitted reduced to £10, went to pay for them and they scanned in as £5. Bargain.

I got some shoes for my boy in the sale, but it was a faff.

My local store had no kids shoes in their sale as they sent them all to the big stores. So had to ring around to find the nearest store which had shoes in my boys size in the sale.

Question- when else in the year do Clarks generally have their sales (esp kids shoes)please?

  • hmmm I think the next one is usually in the summer right? I bought two pairs of black school shoes for dd because in the last summer sale there were no black shoes in sight!

I think Clarks has improved greatly and in my opinion the only high street shoe shop that sells quality footwear at a reasonable price. They are expensive but prices aren't that different to Barratts, Dolcis etc. And there was one time we would take the mick out of each other for wearing Clarks - it's not like that anymore.

I do think the boys shoes could be more better

and I don't like them using pig skin for religious reasons :)

The next one will be in the summer - usually around the last week of June.

Dont forget the Kids boots have gone down today - All styles apart from a couple are now less than half price.

Typical, my 2nd baby is due last week of June.

Do you think I could leave DH to do the giving birth thing while I took my son shoe shopping?

Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

    sorry cant get pound sign!
  • Has anybody noticed any good prices on the mens goretex lined boots. I think I saw a pair for around £35 altough as they weren`t my size I didn`t pay much attention. However after going to a different store wher they had lots of these boots they were only reduced by £20/30 from upto £90. So not such a great buy. Quackers if you work there maybe you would have a better idea of if there is any plans to reduce them further.

Just a quick post to let you know that Clarks have started to reduce their boots/winter range. I think it must have started w/c 30/1/06 as by the time I was able to get to my local store on Saturday a lot of stuff had been snapped up.

The stock reduced at Christmas was disappointing, these reductions shouldn't disappoint. I've managed to nab a pair of Napper boots I had my eye on for ages, was £35 for £25
:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:
