Quackers wrote:All of the sale is now half price or less. Some Goretex though is in the promotion not sale! Thats why they aren't reduced as much. There are some very good priced goretex in the sale though - it's just dropping on your size.
The sale will be ending at the end of this week in most stores and then condensed down to certain stores to sell it off. So, if you live in a town which continues its sale for longer they will probably be getting some more stock in from other stores. I think that makes sense!
A few years ago I purchase a pair of these from the Clark Village in Street, Somerset. Was most excited as they were £35 reduced from £90+. HOWEVER the soles only lasted for 5 months, on quizzing them about them i.e. sent them back for examination they said there was no material degradation. Therefore no refund or replacement. The fault? they developed a crack across the sole where the ball of the foot is and extended to split the sole in two. This has happened again with another pair with the same message from Clarks. The result - I will never buy Clarks shoes again because the quality now is worse than ever. As you know most are now sourced from overseas as the production at Street is now pretty small if not non existant.
Now I pay no more than £20 for a pair of £50 shoes at a budget shoe warehouse. If they last for a year or two I've saved large scale money.Veteran Bargain Hunter -

Picked up a pair of the gore-tex lined boots for £29.99. There not the ones I liked as these were £59.99 as only on promotion. They also only have clarks soles as opposed to Vibram ones on the others but for under £30 I can`t really complain. Almost two weeks since I bought them though I just didn`t post.
So Thanks Quackers and others.0 -
