    Hi Folks,

Well I have managed to get most of my tasks done, just need to get a shower and a shave now. I was going to cut thet grass, as it has grown quite long over the last week with being away. However, I just nearly squashed a frog, so thought better of it. I have a small pond in my garden and there are lots in there. I have managed to catch one so that my girlfriends daughter can see it, but I am sure it will escape by the time they get here.

Urg123 - Thanks but I do struggle alot of the time and it all gets me down sometimes. However, just got to try and plod along. Now I could kill for a cold glass of larger now. :rotfl:

    Hi Folks,

Well I had a great weekend with my girlfriend and her daughter. I made a batch of choc rice crispie cakes on saturday before they arrived. Always a good one for the kids. :rotfl:

Then on sunday we went for a little picnic in the park; the weather was lovely.

Then on sunday me and my girlfriends daughther made fairy cakes together, it was good fun. They had to go home on monday morning, which was sad, but it was a good weekend. I hope everybody else had a good weekend.

Anyway I did not do too bad over the weekend, no NSD days, but I only spent about £15.

    Here is saturdays update.

    Saturday 8th August 2009

Lunch was a bit expensive today as I put in a bit too much cheese spread. However tea was free as my girlfriend brought up the pizza. Spent about £5 today on some bottled beers and a few bits. Not included in the food challenge though. I have put these on spends.

I cooked a lovely roast dinner for my girlfriend and her daughter. I tried roast potatoes for the first time. I normally dont make them when it is just me, I have mash instead. They were quite good, but not as good as my mum's:rotfl:
They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which is how we like them. lol

Spent £10 today when out for the picnic and on a bottle of wine for later in the evening. Comes out of spends though.

  • Hi Folks,

Well I might be stuck in work for awhile today, as there has been a chemical spillage on the only access road leading into the industrial estate where I work. It is going to take at least 4 hours to clear. Hopefully, it will not take any longer, otherwise I maybe trapped in work.:eek::eek::eek:

Anyway on another front I am thinking of giving hypno's idea, on her diary, a try. Draw £20 out of the bank, and see how long you can make it last. Knowing me it will be 5 mins, but we will see how I do.

I must admit that is one of my major downfalls. I spend odds and sods here and there on rubbish.
