    Hi Folks,

    Hope everybody is doing well.

I am not doing to badly with my challeges so far. Spent a little bit too much of my spends/extras so far. For the 4k a year challenge I worked out that I should of spent only 4.6% of the total money for the year. I am slightly behind at 4.91%. But hopefully I can claw that back a bit.

Need to really stack up the NSD days. so that I can keep on track.

I have updated my signature apart from the total debt figure. I need to recalculate that tonight and my dfd.

Take care everybody and have a good day.

Hi Money Fritter... you're still going strong I see!

I had sausage and cous cous for tea tonite, I pinched the idea off you lol I was just wondering, do you put anything in your cous cous to make it taste of something? My daughter didn't like it atall and I just about managed to eat it, mainly coz I'm a greedy sod rather than coz I liked it! I have used a stock cube in it before but it didn't really do anything. I was just wondering if you added anything to yours??

My sausages were gorgeous though, they were from M&S and were something like 79p. I really enjoyed them and so did DD.

I never went back to my slimming club after I joined the other week, coz I just ate a load of rubbish. I am rubbish lol I've started again today though. Good luck to you for this wednesday. :0)

    Hi Bowski,

I have not tried that one with sausage yet, I have done it with bacon. I tend to have cous-cous and bacon (chopped into small pieces) and then tomato and cucumber and just mix it all in, and then maybe add a bit of lemon juice. It could do with something a bit extra I must admit, as it is a bit bland.

The pasta and brocolli with sausage (chopped into little pieces) is nice because you mix in some garlic and herb cheese spread. Which makes it taste nice, dont know whether you would want to try that with the cous cous.

Went over by quite a bit today. It was mainly because of the eggs. I bought the wrong ones, the expensive ones. :rotfl:
I have started shopping at asda now instead of tesco, and on the whole find things quite a bit cheaper.

I spent nothing else today out of my budget.

    Hi MoneyFritter

I don't know if I'd put the soft cheese in my cous cous but I have planned on doing the pasta dish you have, although I'd be swapping the brocolli for something else. I know my daughter would love it too.
I didn't do the cous cous all mixed up like that but think I'm going to next time. Lemon is a good idea, I'll have to put it on my shopping list. I'm going to keep trying with the cous cous because even though it does taste bland I can just tell it's got the potential there to be gorgeous, it must be the texture I like...yum yum!
It's lovely with roasted veg too.

    Hi Bowski,

Roasted veg with the cous cous sounds a really good Idea, I might try that.

With respect to the pasta with brocolli, I am sure you could try other vegs. I use brocolli and then you cook it until it is very soft and then mash it up and mix it in with the pasta, chopped sausage or bacon and cheese spread. I used cheese spread with garlic and herb, as it gives it a bit more flavour. I have not tried other cheese spreads.
