Oh well, good luck with the challenge then! It's great that the money is going to charity but it's a same it couldn't go to slimmer of the week instead, then they'd be a massive incentive lol But I think the idea's great anyways and paying £1 a week is better than the £4.50 I;m paying a week. I always end up leaving coz I think it's £4.50 I could do without paying, but I always end up going back because I do lose weight when I go and what's £4.50 when it's my health!! I spend twice that getting a chinese each week!

I love badminton! I don't go anywhere near enough and I am utterly carp at it, but I really enjoy it. Anyways bending down for the shuttlecock all the time tires me out so its good exercise for me haha!!

I know what you mean about the will power thing - I also lack in it! I think most of us do when it comes to food. You'll get there though and having a stone to lose although is hard it's very do-able. My first target is to lose 9lb by July.

Oh I'm going to text my friend right now to sort out a game of badminton for us! Told you you're an inspiration! :A

    Hi Bowski,

I think with the weight club there are prizes for who does the best, but not a bar of choc :rotfl:
I don't think the prizes are great but I am not too bothered, as long as I lose the weight.

As for badminton, I was rubbish to start off with. I started playing at school. Now I am quite a good player. I play for a club and play in a local league for a team.

    Hi everybody,

Just thought I would post before I go to bed. I did not managed a NSD today as I had to pay £1 for the weight club in work.

However, I have been looking at lots of different cheap recipes on this site trying to prepare my eating plan for next month so I can stick to my 'Living on 4k a year' challenge. It is so surprising how many cheap recipes are out there.

Hopefully when I have finished my plan I will post it for people to have a look. If anybody has a good ideas, please let me know.

    Morning everybody,

Not feeling too great this morning but got to go to work. lol

Anyway started the match betting again last night, my first one was just a small one, but won £1.64. I will get back fully into the swing of things shortly. It is good to back, I have missed it really.

Tonight, after work I think I will go for a jog and then I have a pile of ironing to do.

Then I think I will carry on with my recipes and meal plan. Hopefully, that way next week I can hit the ground running next week. I am aiming for another NSD today as well.

    Take care

    Hi Back again,

As part of the 'living on 4k a year' challenge I will also be doing the grocery challenge to keep my spending down. I have set £80.83 per month. I have added that to my signature. I am also going to join the make £10 a day challenge. However, to start off with I am just going to try and make £5 per day. I have added that to my signature as well.

I also need to set the number of NSD for June and recount my 1p,2p,5p and 10p and add that to the signature. I will try and fit that in tonight as there will be lots of counting to do. :j

    Bye for now

    Hi Folks, :hello:

Well I am getting into the swing of things even though I don't offically start my challenges until I get paid on friday.

For my lunch today I had homemade carrot and red lentil soup (the recipe, of which i found on this site).

It was lovely and only costs about 50-60p per portion. :T

Just need a few more meals like that and I will be onto a winner.

    :eek::eek::eek:

Sorry but I'd have made the fish starve for the sake of a NSD :D

Also.. You know you're paying £1 per week for your slimming club, could you not put the £4 somewhere when you get paid and count that as your spend. Then each wednesday don't count it as it's already budgeted for? Then you could just count it as a spend day if you have to pay the extra £1 (which I'm sure you wont!) lol
That's what I do for DD's football, I count the spend day as the day I've put it aside. Mainly because if I've spent £1 then I see no harm in spending a bit more, but if I'm having a NSD I'm not tempted to buy things unless they're essential as I don't want to waste me NSD.

Sorry for rambling I hope it makes sense! I never post half as much as I'd like coz I can never quite put into words what I need to say so I end up rambling...deleting...and not posting

Jogging and ironing and lots of counting all in the same evening. You are :A

Hope you're feeling ok tomorrow Money Fritter! The weekend is almost here

    Morning all,

Well did not manage a jog or ironing yesterday, as when I got home I was not feeling to good. I have a sore throat and have lost my voice, which some people in work would say is a good thing. :rotfl:

Also this weekend I was meant to be going home to see my parents for the weekend and bank holiday. However, I don;t want to give them the lurgy so I think I will go next weekend when I am feeling better.

So I will be on my own for the weekend :(

Oh well I suppose it will give me more Money saving time for ideas and stuff. lol

I did manage to construct a spreadsheet last night so that when my challenges start I can keep track of money saved and challenges met and debt repaid. So that is one good thing done. :T

Anyway maybe I can do the ironing this weekend now instead. lol
It is a very big pile.

Thanks bowski for the tip, I might just do that, then I would not miss out on a NSD on wednesdays. :A

    Take care

    Well folks,

I have not done well on my weight loss today. I have a cold and so I decided to feed it. There was free leftovers from a business meeting in work. So I had several sandwichs and crisps and a piece of coffee cake of some sort. :rotfl:

Looks like when I am feeling better I will have to go jogging lots to make sure I don't put any weight on next wednesday. lol
