    Hi Money Fritter

Have read your thread and can totally identify with Willpower and Patience aspect of trying to get Debt Free.

I too think its about changing one's mentality and lifestyle. After all, no-one usually got into debt overnight so getting out of it will take time too.

I, too am saving modestly for an Emergency Fund. What do think is a realistic fund amount? £100.00, £150.00 or £250.00?

Good Luck from a fellow DFW'er

Hi ChrisBlue welcome to my thread.

As for an emergency fund, various websites I have read have suggested about £1000 pounds, so you have a decent buffer, if things break, that way you don't have to use them dreaded Credit Cards. I suppose it varies from person to person. I have set myself a target of £1000, so I will see how I get on.

    Hi folks,

Well I did not manage a NSD yesterday as I bought a bottle of rose wine for £6.20. It was for a good cause though, as I cooked a meal for my gf, as we have been together now for six months. Time flies!!!!

I made a chicken lentil curry, it was yummy!!! :j:j

The gf liked it, and that is the main thing.

Anyway I am hoping for another NSD today.

Hey a good bottle of wine is a nice reason to lose a NSD I suppose!

I didn't get one either yesterday due to a BLT I had been dreaming about all morning.

Today I am plumping for a sausage roll at £1 but that is it so not too bad!

    Hi folks,

Well I managed another NSD today, so that makes up for yesterday.

I also went for a good run tonight after work. The weather was lovely and sunny

    Hi folks,

Well I managed another NSD yesterday so that is 9 for the month, hopefully I should manage one today as I have no money left to spend for the money. It is pay day on saturday. :j:j:j

I managed to stick to my grocery challenge, I had £0.55 left.

I had a nice weekend, even though the weather was bad.

Me and my gf went to see Pirates 4 in 3D, it was very good. Johnny Depp cracks me up

    Hi Folks,

Sorry I have not posted for awhile. Things have been very hectic.

My mum's partner was rushed to hospital a few weeks ago with a suspected heart attack. To cut a long story short, it was not a heart attack, it was something else, and he has to go for an operation.

Also my Grandad was diagnosed with Cancer a few weeks ago, and it was untreatable. He passed away two days ago. It all happened so quickly. I was really close to my Nan and Grandad when I was younger, and my Grandad was like a father to me, and always made me feel loved. I will miss him dearly. I think with Granparents, you expect them to live forever, because they always seem to be there. The funeral is on monday.
