We bought a high spec Garmin and cannot fault it at all. It got us through France and Spain in the summer without any problems whatsoever. I would highly recommend it especially as ours has bluetooth enabled so no need for earphones. It's also nice looking!0

I've the tomtom one v2 europe and it took me from ballymena to a race track in norway in july. not updated it since I got it July though and some roads either don't exist or now have changed but nothing that isn't obvious. I think its retty good here though it only has the speed limit for the motorways here (all 4 of them!) and thats sometimes 60 not 70 so its estimates of fastest route can be out and of course it has no idea about the westlink traffic in reality.0

Hi there
Can anyone recommend a sat nav that is good for taking you around NI? Don't want to spend a fortune - any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!0 -
I got a Tomtom One V3 recently, so far it appears to be excellent for NI.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0

I have a TomTom one and find it brilliant for all around Northern Ireland. In my work I can be in the backend of nowhere or in a small park in a town and it always gets me there. You can download updates as often as you like and I normally do this about once a week. This also makes the device pick up satallites quicker when you switch on. Overall excellent!0

I've been looking to buy a sat nav & just wondered if anyone had any experience with which was the best to use in Ireland (north & south). I've been told that the Garmin (navtech maps) are the best here so is that true or are you happy with your Tom Tom, Navman, Navigo or Sony...What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0

I bought a Tomtom One V3 with European maps a couple of months ago. I had a trip to Shannon 2 weeks ago and it took me across some great short cuts to miss Limerick City, plus there was a diversion at Nenagh due to an accident and it handled it brilliantly, well impressed.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0
