Thanks Purpleroses, just been having a look at it - can you withdraw the scratchcard winnings or do you have to play them through?

thanks for the headsup about the quidco cashback...if I decide to guarantee it by playing through some of my deposit, I'll make sure I've got the amounts right. I was really only joining for the scratchcards.....cashback can be a little uncertain sometimes.

    WELL DONE MOGWAI! :D

I've now received email confirming that buyer wants to the mixed box I had listed at £20 plus asked for details of the others that I still haven't packed/listed. Guess I'll be listing (and hoping) tomorrow night! :D
I've also been updating some webpages, as these are going to be used in the hope of generating some extra income next year. I know I said it would be for this year but I kind or, umm... lost track of this year and it's almost over already!

My £4000 money neutral challenge in 2009 will hopefully be made up of the following:

    £1000 from this challenge
£1000 from winnings, vouchers, clicks, cashback
£1000 from sales via website (still working this one out)
£1000 from somewhere else  :rotfl:
However, £20,000 in savings paying 5% interest = £1000 per year.
    THAT'S REALLY GOT ME THINKING!!
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

ooo just a heads up for Alliance and Leicester people, its tracked on quidco at £50 (was 0.00 before). Not sure if that means they will def pay out? If they do, hopefully it will happen before end of this challenge!

Purpleroses – I’ve PM’d you about the free scratchcards ... though thinking about it my PM might have said bingo! I’m quite tired lol!

My OH owes me money and he paid me back an extra £20 this month, which I wasn’t expecting, so I’m going to count that when it hits my account! I normally pay the money off my CC, and the £1k from this Challenge (or whatever I end up making lol!!) is going towards my CC too, so it’s no difference really, but it makes me feel better! Starting to panic a bit about making the total amount now! :p

Also I’ve remembered that I’ve got some annual leave still to accrue/take (I’m a contractor) and although my year runs April – April, I doubt I’ll need more than a couple of days leave between January and April next year. So once I’ve taken off the necessary days over Xmas, I’ll see if I’ve got any left to cash in, since that would be a fab last-minute boost to the fund!

I’m budgeting about £400 for Xmas this year, and have been saving up each month. But I’m really hoping to have a fairly inexpensive year and make up nice pressies e.g. jewellery / hampers for people (instead of buying expensive tat) so anything I save on Xmas can go towards this too I think – since it’s money I wasn’t expecting to have in the ordinary way of things!

If anyone disagrees with cashing in holiday days / saved money from Xmas fund being OK to put towards the Challenge, let me know! I don’t want to break the rules hehe!

Anyone who uses Quidco – just to say that there’s an offer on for a free Experian credit report (£7 cashback) – it’s a one month free trial offer, so I guess you need to remember to cancel it before the DD comes out, but a note in my diary is worth £7 to me! I’m going to try and apply for this tomorrow night, too tired now.

Also *kicks butt into gear* must, must look at MB’ing! I did look before and understood it (I think/hope!), did worked examples, all seemed to make sense ... then lost my nerve and never did anything with it! So got to start now on the basis that even £10 is better than nowt, and it will be nowt if I don’t apply lol!

Will update my sig in a min... you're all doing so well :T I'm really impressed (and now slightly scared! :rotfl: ) night all xx

    Nyk,

Thought it might be nice if we all updated how much we have so far? I know we can see it in our sig's but it could be quite motivating to see a big lump sum for the whole group total when all the little bits and bobs get added together?! Don't mind if people want to PM me, I can make a list in this post ... thou I don't want to tread on your toes Nyk since this is your Challenge! :)

And yes I would almost certainly be up for next year, but let me try and make this £1k first, before I start on any other projects! lol ... panicking a bit now ...

OK off to bed, night xx
