Never talk politics around the dinner table.

The last government has f/ucked up.

The next government will do the same. I;m voting for the guys who will be honest ... Get the best girls with the money you have....Let them bleed you and the country and here we go again

People generally dont vote for governments in a parliamentary democracy. they vote for whomever is their choice as the local MP.

I actually dont agree with the governmetn having EVERYTHING to do with this, more that there is a global capitalist system to which we are all entrenched .
    CREDIT CRUNCH - as above
REDUNDANCIES- bound to happen, after boom comes bust
    UNEMPLOYMENT RISING - as above
    INFLATION- as above
PROPERTY CRASHING - should never have been allowed to boom then it wouldnt bust, shame so many people dont see that
FUEL BILLS RISING- inevitable- totally inevitable , that we are at the mercy of buying in power, it will certainly get worse particularly if international relations continue as they have been - certainly dont think the tories wqould do any better
FOOD PRICES RISING- wonder what global warming/ flash flooding has contributed. A lot. My dad works in import, there is a WORLD shortage of food, but hell we'll just continuie to waste waste waste
    GAS BILLS RISING- as above
    ELECTRICITY BILLS RISING- as above
COUNCIL TAX RISING- if wages have to rise, and we all need more services , ageing population, decent homes, we have to pay for it. I personally dont think council tax is that high for what you get for the money.
NHS CRUMBLING- is it, increasing services everywhere , more drugs, better equipment, shorter waiting times, plus now more and more people making qs shorter with private health care - comes as standard for so many companies these days
EDUCATION CRUMBLING- results the best ever, more people going to uni whenever
CRIME RISING - is it? Depends where you look and how you look at the figures.
CUTBACKS IN THE POLICE- where? In london certainly there are more officers, and they are always recruiting for front & back room staff.

Could be worse. I find not reading the mail helps.

Wow! You must be a real Leftie!!:o

I haven't got the time to educate you (I'm busy) but I'll show you how misinformed you are on just a couple of points. And I may point out a few more facts for you tomorrow.

    You quote:

"COUNCIL TAX RISING- if wages have to rise, and we all need more services , ageing population, decent homes, we have to pay for it. I personally dont think council tax is that high for what you get for the money."

Firstly, wages are NOT rising in line with INFLATION!

And it seems that decent homes are a just a dream for those in need.

What actually are we getting for our extortionate council tax bills? Or are we paying extra for a third rate police force who are 'never there' and extra for our rubbish bins to be collected fortnightly instead of weekly? And before anyone asks....NO.....mine are emptied weekly: but I've read about areas where they're only collected once every two weeks!!

And your stupid remark about education speaks volumes. The only reason results are better than they have ever been is because they've DUMBED DOWN!! :rotfl: ANY idiot can get a degree these days - and quite frankly, with the lack of jobs available now - a degree is about as useful as a chocolate teapot!

As for the NHS - it's now almost on a par with a third world country. We have MRSA; contract cleaners who don't know how to clean; doctors dishing out cheap inferior alternatives for regular medicines, people living in Postcode Lotteries needlessly dying of cancer because of the cutbacks......and as for your STUPID remark about private patients shortening NHS queues...........HELLO!!!!

And crime! You claim crime isn't rising?!:rotfl: Hello???? Do you read the papers????? And as for the police recruiting extra staff - they're recruiting 'special' officers - the ones who are either midgets or have an IQ of 80! As for the staff they stick on the front desk - they're as bright as a 40w bulb!!!

My God! And to think people like you have the right to vote!!
  • it all comes down to our brittish army blowing billions of pounds in iraq and afghanistan. should of stayed away. thats where a large percentige of our tax money goes. that and since they started letting all the imigrants in its a bloody disgrace. send them all back then that will sort the unemployment out. i am a lorry driver and just about every workplace i deliver to is full of them. send them home

    unemployment existed before they came.

they started off doing the jobs the lazy doleys would not take.

Many of the problems were caused by bad decisions under Thatcher, such as selling off the utilities, privatising public transport (And Major for the rail mess), selling council houses, the 'dash for gas', spending oil revenues on tax cuts for the wealthy etc. All were popular as the tabloids sheepishly supported them, and some individuals made a short-term gain. The next problems will be paying for PFI deals (Off balance sheet), the vast waste of public spending and the effects of student debt.

Well the Labour Isn't Working government has had 11 and a half years to rectify all that! And what have they done? Made our country and its people a whole lot WORSE OFF!!

  • Unemployment may have existed before they came but we are now paying job seekers allowance, tax credits and child benefit to all of these non indigenous people that have not contributed very much tax and national insurance in the short time that they have been here to allow for this.
