Morning All from rainy cold miserable Staffordshire
Am sitting amongst a pile of BR paperwork and ironing preparing for OR interview on Friday morning:eek:  , this is the part of the BR process Im not looking forward too.
What questions do they ask, I know to keep my gob shutat the silent bits whilst OR is scribbling down my weak excuses for overspending.. NO WAFFLING!!!!:p .
I put down on my BR petition that some of the reasons for my financial situation was due to the breakdown of my violent marriage/sisters suicide/and years of depression resulting with BI Polar diagnosis, do they probe and enquire as I dont fancy raking over areas that make me feel bad, think it will decide on how I perceive the ORs attitude so hope I dont get some menopausal, lemon sucking female OR or some Victor Meldrew influenced constipated male one  .
Well its only a Friday morning, am going to get myself a nice bottle of wine and do myself a nice ham and Camembert salad for Friday afternoon and be positive, Ive come this far so the rest hopefully will go to plan:p
There only a voice at the end of the phone so onwards and upwards...
Weathers vile here cant believe I was in sandals and t shirts on Sunday, 24hrs later its really cold here, have noticed the leaves are begining to fall of the trees early, do you think theres a cold winter ahead? Shops are filling up with Christmas goodies, my lots getting hampers filled with my pickles, jams and home made Dundee cakes, pinched that idea from Old Style Board need to go find some straw/wicker baskets, similar filled baskets cost over £40 in M&S and smaller posher shops, mines averaging £6.00 per basket, must stop scoffing the pickled onions though:D
Have the decision to what I want for my Christmashave already got it ...peace of mind/fresh start with finances, now lets think, yes a 2nd hand freezer or a lovley woolley scarf, OH can learn to knit ,I have the knitting needles and he has the time:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ehmmm mybe not unless holey scarves come into fashion
..
Id love a 2nd hand reliable sewing machine and then I can enrol in a soft furnishing course in January at local college, there open day showed some real posh cushions the ladies on the course did, and when I was in Wales and visited the craft centre at Corris there was a lovley shop selling quilting accessories...another idea to toy with...Id love to make my own curtains etc the ones I spied in Dunelm and fell in love with were £340     I have a huge window in my flat...dream on Annie:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: your Freecycle ones look grand and are fully lined and keep the warm in (practicality wins over flashy trims anyday:o )
Righty oh , am off to do some ironing,, very theraputic I love the smell of freshly laundered clothes, well thats what I tell myself the truth is why the hell cant I just stuff em in the drawers and hope for the best ?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: see you all later

I know sometimes you feel so helpless/you cant go on/so isolated, well you need never feel that way again as a simple Can you help me please? on here is your first step to that journey of fresh starts, so hello Im Anne, your ? YOU ARE NOT ALONE in all of this, we have all been there, so come join us.0 -
Hi Anne,
Yep! we have the same sort of weather here . The local news was saying that the quality of this years wheat harvest is so bad they can't even make flour for bread from it. So I guess staples are going to go through the roof this winter :rolleyes:.
Why don't you ask on freecycle and see if someone has a sewing machine they want to get rid ofBSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Hi Tigerfeet
Thanks for reply, weathers still rotten here this afternoon, thats all we need is for the
prices of bread etc to be high and as you say there staples, wheres it all going to end? I fancied a jacket potato yesterday, the price at local farmshop:eek:    .
Have about 6 weeks till OHs BR in Nov so am buying a 2nd freezer of a friend and going to stock that and fill up with storecupboard ingredients, Ive almost adopted a seige mentality.
Old Style Board is brill, way I see it its 36 months of a highish IPA to work our way through and then we have a level playing field to work from, boy have we both learned the hard way, and its will be strictley cash when this is all over, yet I think for some the reality is just begining to bite home, BRs will go up a lot in my reckoning, so the ORs
offices will be pretty busy in the coming months as this credit crunch arrives full force and folk take a long hard look at there financial state and start to panic:eek: . Bet this board goes into meltdown in next few months, thank god its here thats all I can say:D .Local CAB is running in overdrive.
Better get my ironing finished before OH comes home, most of it been :rotfl: :rotfl: ironed now, jeez if I won the lottery Id employ an ironing person etc etc a gal can dream
