Annes Witterings & OH BR

Hi all am back....been down a black depressive lane the last few days since coming back from holidays:confused::confused::confused: dont even know what made me feel so rotten, maybe it was because its the 3rd anniversary of my sisters death thats impacted, doctor said it was a kind of delayed post traumatic stress reaction:rolleyes:   that made me laugh my doc has some wonderfully long winded sounding diagnosis but maybe she was right so I am as from today being positive, pro active and proceeding with OHs BR forms.

Local court has rang with a cancelled BR appt in November so have taken it so time to up the ante and get figures/facts/details together and get moving with OHs BR forms.
One thing she did say was that if I did not take that appointment then it would be January2009:eek:   before she could book me in , seems theres been a rush of BR applications, not surprised with the way the financial news is.

OHs employers are asking for voluntary redundancies and pushing folk for early retirements:confused::confused: , I think this credit crunch is gathering momentum, god knows where it will all end.

Am being cruel and sending OH to work this week on the bus and with a packed lunch:D :D hes going to start living in BR mode and if they let us keep the car then he might appreciate it more.Well the quicker he/we get into it the BR mode better,no use in trying to live the life of Riley anymore the sooner we start reality the better.

So time to buck up my ideas and get back on the MSE BR route,I had a brill cheapo holiday in Wales, found oodles of free things to do and appreciated them all the more rather than paying £10 entrance fees to fancy places that were designed to hit the pocket from the moment you set foot in the place.Walked everywhere and made packed lunches, so am saving my money in my new piggybank (empty coffee jar:rotfl: ) for next time...roll on June 2009

Ok am going to read all the posts Ive missed, will post OHs SOA tommorow, need some help in the tweeking it about, so be prepared for some silly questions :rotfl:

Bye for now
Anne

  • Hi Anne

glad your getting things sorted and being proactive about life. I know when I went on a budget it was a bit of a shock but I soon adapted. Its about changing how you think (redeucating yourself I suppose). And touch wood, its working so far for me.

Infact I have embraced it quite well, we make our own bread,(20p a loaf opposed to £1 at supermarket) dont eat take away food (Can buy enough fresh meat ect for two meals for one takeaway). We cook a real meal at least once a day. Turn lights out when not needed, dont use car unless needed, and plan shopping so we only go once a week (longer if possible).

Well done and keep going things can and will only get better. Least OH can read the newspaper on the bus (if hes allowed pocket money to buy one LOL)

Aww anne, you nearly had me crying (not good being a bloke!!), thats really nice.

Unfortunatley the recipebook is packed away as the council are coming next week to fit a new kitchen and I cant remember but its pretty simple Im sure theres some on the oldstyle boards, or have a look on your manufacturers website. Its pretty much strong flour, salt sugar oil and yeast. But I cant remember the quantities as we make different size loaves. And just read it from the book.
