Since I bought mine they have come down in price SSA, and the smell of it baking, well it is to sleep for. you can set most to bake it overnight.. now get to bed or you will be late up!

And I agree a great view costs nothing, sits looking at Nadal on wall!!! ha ha...

  • Definately going to get one...a breadmaker I mean...will be useful when the weather starts `closing in`for the winter!!

Got the view already as on top of a hill so can see 30-40 miles on a clear day. I often sit up in the fields with the dog & take it all in!! don`t really need to go away to enjoy!

No such nice views here, only Rafa on my wall. My place is Cornwall I love the place, but sadly not been for a few years now. and the mountains of Austria, Switzerland or France are wonderful, not sure when I will be seeing those again.

So it will be one of Ops holidays for me, cheap and cheerful, and oddly the cheerful is true, it costs little to have fun if you put your mind to it.

Bed now.. or I wont be up either!

All this talk of breadmakers!!!. When i i looked into an IVA(my IP said to go ma whilst i had the chance) i ordered one from my catalogue, not hugely expensive. It was on a 21 delay. So when i realised i was going bc i tried to cancel the order but it was too late. The thing got delivered about 2 days after my court appearence. There it sat at the top of my stairs for 3 wks unopened. I told my OR during the interview to come and fetch it ect. He told me to get a bag of strong flour and do some baking. About 4 wks later i gave the bloody thing to my daughter, guilt would never in a million years have allowed me to use it. I can smile now when you all mention breadmakers but believe me it was a real thorn in my side at the time.

Maybe i might "buy" another one day and give it a try.D

  • Im a bread freak and shop bought I eat more of, homemade is more substantial. Also the one I have (bought by the missus for my birthday) is a kenwood and has all kinds of functions on it, but to be honest a basic one would have done me just fine, all the timers and buttons for this that and the other are a bit redundant. Although it only cost £40 at curries (it was reduced).

I love cheese on toast with a free range fried egg on top, yum yum. I have also got my name down for an allotment (15 in front of me) so I can keep chickens and grow some veggies.

I know this should be on the oldstyle board but I think being frugal is important to BC people.

  • Yahooo:j :j   :T :T :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Im an aunty...my sister has just had twins (surrogacy)...after all the flimflamming and heartbreak shes gone through Daisha and James were born at 2.30am this morning, shes had to go to the USA to do this so seeing there first pics in an email this morning made me burst into tears, Ive had my fingers and toes and anything else crossed that this time it worked out and it has...phew now the hard work begins when she and her hubby bring them home.

Have tried my breadmaker and the results are yummy, now with my homemade strawb jam and butter I am scoffing the lot:rotfl: :rotfl:

Like the ideas of Herb Bread Rylynn,,,might go buy a few herb seeds and see to that bit of garden by the back door, ideas fermenting here :D

OH is saying through gritted teeth that the bus is ok, blinkin fibber, takes him 45 mins each way to work instead of 15 by car, but hes seen the week out poor love, whilst I have been swanning around in the car:D :D    .

OHs BR date is set for November now, and all the forms done in the rough just got to tweek the totals, am still going to post SOA on here for all the experts to muse over and see if I can up/down some totals.

Have picked up some brilliant cost cutting ideas on OS Style board, and will have a mooch round the leccie/gas one to see how to cut costs there...

The breadmakers smelling glorious have eaten a small loaf all to myself and scoffed a jar of jam not exactley frugal but the cook must taste her recipes first:rolleyes:

Now just got to decide if its spag bol for tea or chilli con carne, think a nice warm slice of bread might help the old braincells be decisive, yep thats a good excuse to have another scoff...

Right see you all soon, be good...

  • Congratulations Aunty Anne.

Dalip - hmmmmm fresh bread, although atm theres a nice home made mince curry on the stove bubbling away cost £3 to make from scratch and not a sniff of a jar of premade sauce. smells lovley. yum yum.

Well thanks you lot. I have being going over to my dads/hosp every day for the last 10 days and nearly every night our tea has been ruined by one thing or another. After takening dogs to be trimmed today, going to dads, picking dogs back up and taking them home, going backs to dads, doing his tea, coming home. I don't feel a bit like cooking so any chance one of you could bring me some of that food, hot bread you insist on talking aboutbiggrin.gif
