Hi Anne....I`ve just logged on to say `GOOD LUCK` ....remember `no waffling` just relax & answer the questions.

You know how it feels when you talk to someone & they give you `yes` / `no` /`don`t know`/`not sure` answers.....I`m sure the OR will just want to get it all over with ...it is friday after all!!!

Relax Sweetie...get those dragon inscence (sp?) sticks lit & good strong cuppa, a deep breath & it`ll soon be over.

Come on annie where's that spunk we see so often on this forum?. You have done nothing wrong so do not let em grind you down. You will be fine you are a tough cookie(at least to the outside world)so hold you head high, take a deep breath and do it for your sister,she has kept you ging this far and she aint about to let you down now.

Thanks for the support, Im ready to go if one can be in this situation.

I slept well and fell positive/pro active, just hope its a half decent OR I get.

Actually I think this OR interview will be good for me as Ive gotten complacent the last month re my financial situation so this will be a good reminder of what my situation actually is.

I hope we glide over the whats that £2000 chunk out of your bank acct bit, sisters funeral if he/she starts quizzing why I had to pay that when I have other sisters to help pay he/she will have the end of my tongue:p ....but this is the last bit hopefully before automatic discharge.

Looks like its going to be a good weekend, so will be out in the garden, preparing next years vege patch.
Listening to this mornings news, god what a bleak time it is financially in the world, HSBC cutting jobs , and how we are all cutting back on spending, they reckon that were not taking this credit crunch seriously, and that they reckon that our salaries/buying power is down by a third and we should cut back now and not when were threatened with job losses in the family. When asked how long the credit crunch would last, financial blokey said 2 years:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: , gosh Im glad Ive made some inroads on my situation and faced myself/situation.

Right am off for my brekkie and to get dressed and have a moral squirt of my fav perfume and twitter around till phone rings. Will post later how it went.:o :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rotfl:

Hi All.....

Well its over, I had a fantastic, yes fantastic OR examiner he was brilliant, not once did he make me feel bad, silly, about having got into a financial mess, infact he was most supportive and kept asking if I was ok to continue with the interview.
We went through my Statement of Affairs with a fine toothcomb, I expained roughly what I did with the money, and he listened to my explanation of why/how I got into debt and explained my responsiblities of being Bankrupt and said that he didnt see any reason why I might not be considered for an early discharge once the OR had finished his report sending etc.
He explained all about Nil Tax Codes, IPA`s and the best bit:D that they would be contacting ex husband :rotfl: :rotfl: re my beneficial interest in the ex marital home, and would be liquidating my financial interests ....and that once all debts and fees had been paid then I could maybe have some money back .
Lets see exhusband tell the Official Receiver to f**orf this bit should be interesting as my solicitor has got nowhere with my marital financial settlement in 3 years so fingers crossed, serves the ex right I hope they have some sucess as they have more clout than I have.

I was dreading this morning, but it was also good in renforcing the whys and whats as to how I got into debt..a subtle but kind reminder that the journey here to BR hasnt been easy,and the journey out isnt easy either but achievable.
Maybe Ive been lucky and have a tougher skin than most but I keep thinking back to my sister Lynn and her financial mess, only £7k but she felt unable to discuss what was going on, not even to family and close friends, and so she committed suicide, had she known about this MSE site and Martins help and DFW and BR and Living With It maybe she wouldnt have felt so alone...I keep playing scenarios in my head if I missed her debt distress, did I miss something, but no I didnt, she was excellent in hiding her debt situation, as I was...So if your reading this and your in a financial mess, ask for help on here, just please please do it...Martins :money: no debt is beyond help is the truth, yes at the moment your debts may be huge and life is dark and no light is in your
life, but just a simple Help me, and you come into a light of warmth and friendship and constructive advice, YOU ARE NOT ALONE , yes its easy typing this as I have gone down the debt path a bit, but I was once where you are now, take that first small step, it will be the biggest thing you will ever do I promise you that and that first step to a new life of peace and a night of sleep.

Thank you all so much for your support on here, my thanks cannot express right how I feel right now, in so short a time Ive come so far and I wouldnt have gotten here if it wasnt for the folk on this forum and I will still be here and putting in my advice where I think I can help, now its OHs BR now...yet another journey begins...
