Good morning everyone :j It's been lovely weather here this week (I've cycled to work twice :T ). I'm hoping to do more in the garden today. Over the weekend we grubbed out the strawberries (they seem to have virus - we've not had a berry for 2 years   ) dug over the veg patches, collected and forked in a load of manure from the local stables, harvested loads of beans, tomatoes, courgettes, sweetcorn, cucumber. I froze a lot of that, too
I need to mow the lawn, and fetch out the old corn plants to compost.
Washing is on (it'll go on the line soon), YM is on, BM is on
Old Style jobs for today:- put away supermarket delivery
- make loaf
- tuna pasta for tea
- ice cake
- collect prescriptions
- clean fridge
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Morning peeps
Last day at w*rk today :j then i have twelve days off :j
Only two more sleeps to go to our holidays.
When i got home yesterday i spents a few hours in the garden cutting the grass and tidying all the edging, lots of bits and bobs got done in the greenhouse too so i`m very pleased about that, i need to get everything done if we are off anywhere or it niggles at me.
We had a quick un-os dinner yesterday, fishcakes oven chips and peas all done in the remoska with fresh bread rolls which were also baked in there.
I must say it`s a remarkable gadget and has been used every day since i got it and now i wouldn`t like to be without it. I love the fact that i`ve not needed to use my big oven and i`m saving lots on the electricity bill.
This morning i woke on the sofa for the third morning running having missed the end of Dalziel & Pascoe
LameWolf - thanks for the idea of taping programmes in case we miss the end, we did do this many moons ago but for some reason the video has stopped recording from the right channel so i need to get my finger out and get that sorted out.:D
The wm, dw and bm have all been on this morning so i am hoping for a nice sunny afternoon to dry all the clothes ready to iron and pack.
Dinner tonight may be something quick and un-os again as i doubt i`ll have much time for the kitchen, i`ll see whats in the freezer later.
Hester - I hope that you have a much better day than yesterday, it`s awful the way that you are being treated and you should get some help, maybe try slowing your pace a little to see if you get someone decent to lend a hand would work?
Have a good day everyone!
Catch up later.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Looks like it's going to be another good day here. Have work at 1, so shall go down the allotment for an hour to do some more digging.
Have finally got the final result of my degree and I passed:T . Feel a bit numb really as doing it nearly killed me and I got really depressed, however I am sure it will all sink in soon.
NELSKI nice cakes
HESTER hope you have a better day, it's just so not on.
MARY sorry to hear your sad news.
PENPIN hope you feel a bit better, gentle hugs to you.
CANDYGIRL hugs to you and tours, you're all going through such a rough time.
BETH I don't know how you do it.
Big hugs to anyone I've missed who needs one.
Had yummy pea and ham soup last night for tea. Will use up some leftovers before I go to work.

Good morning everyone. A bit late today because I slept through the alarm due to having a restless night.
Beth - I do wish you'd slow down. My DH could give you a job in the construction industry! You can do most of the things his subcontractors can do! I do think you should go to the wedding - it will make you sit down for a while!
Hester - I do hope you can get something sorted out at work. My last job was like yours and it really stressed me out; you are obviously doing far too much and not getting enough of the right kind of help. It's horrible working like that, isn't it? With my job (dental nursing and reception), I was trying to get all the work done without the right equipment and they gave me a useless girl to put on reception - she had GSCE B in English and heaven only knows how she got that. She had no idea how to spell or how to talk on the telephone and she just grunted at the patients - it was so embarrassing, especially as her main aim in life was to look like Jordan so she came in with a fake tan (David Dickinson looked pale in comparison!),hair extensions that her equally dumb friend had put in and false nails you could plough a field with. The boss wanted to get rid of her after a month but the day he was going to sack her she told him she was five months pregnant (with her second child - she was 17!) so we had to keep her on. Needless to say, three months later I had had enough and left! That was two years ago and I've just heard that she has had a third child!
Anyway, I'm mioliering! (((Hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin, Beth's DH and family, Candygirl's Mum and Dad, Esssex-girl's Dad, Jayward and all who need one.
Churchmouse - :hello: :hello: :hello:
Dogrose - your mortgage is like mine - we started off with the Leeds way back in the 1980s!
Well, today I am changing sheets and cleaning the upstairs then I shall prep for dinner, make a bread-and-butter pudding and then get stuck into work, but first I'm going to have a shower.
It looks like another good day today weatherwise so I shall make the best of the washing line! Hope everyone else gets the sun, too.
See you later.

Good morning everyone, felt a bit colder this morning, will be digging out the woolies I think. Will be having potatoes, sausages and veg tonight. Feeling tired, but its my own fault as I did not go to bed till late last night and then could not get of. Its probably because have a lot on my mind and there is going to be little in the way of resolution, so will just have to get on with it. Hope everyone has a better day, the sun should hopefully make an appearance, duddles x
PS congratulations to Jannyannie on your degree0 -

Morning everyone :j
Congratulations Jannyannie
Well I'm showered and dressed, just need to dry my hair, put my slap on and make packed lunches.
It's the office manager's 40th birthday today, so I made a chocolate cake last night to take in - seriously indulgent - has 600g of chocolate on/in it

MIL gave me a glut of cooking apples - so need to make some crumbles/pies for the freezer.
Well better go and put a foot up DD's bum she's not even started getting ready for school
Have a great day everyone (((((hugs)))))Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning :hello:
Jannyannie, congratulations :T
I keep going to check work's emails, then remember that I don't have to  I'm starting at FIL's next week
Inspiration struck yesterday, so I scribbled down loads of card designs which I'll make today. Mr troo is off work from tomorrow til the 29th, he thinks we should keep a box of cards in the car and [strike]if[/strike] when (cos we always do) we come across farm shops, show my stuff to them and persuade them to sell it. I already have 2 shops in mind.
I've sorted a healthy eating plan for myself (was meant to be doing this in january - year of troo and all that - but we all know that didn't work out  ). I'm completely in the right state of mind now so I've started today. Will be going for a bike ride at 9.30am
I've got whites soaking in the sink, soon to be followed by darks. Just doing my clicks, and need to clean out Baz and Beans (2 of my piggles - great word that - piggles lol) . I want to catch up with everyone's blogs too, including my own, I haven't posted on it for ages.I am a coffee bean0
