Hi,This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well
Morning.
I don't believe I have started one for a while.
Anyway All seems well here. The weather has stabilised and we are looking forward to several days of dry warm weather.
I hope it will dry the ground up and also my onions etc. It may give my bees a chance to make a little extra honey on the heather too.
Work shortly and then an early finish for a trip to the Nationwide to hammer out a new mortgage deal. I am thinking tracker as I hope they may drop the rates over the next 3 years.... Who knows?
My course finished yesterday and that was a bit dull, but it's roll on weekend and 4 days off.
Cheers

Good luck at the Nationwide, my fixed rate ends June 09 and I am hoping that the rate drops before then.
Glad about the dry weather - seem to have loads of washing to do, also the ironing pile has grown so hope to get some of that done today.
Officework this morning then am meeting friend for lunch at a local golf club, its very nice and very reasonable.
Ironing this evening and lamb chops for tea.
This weeks seems to be dragging cant wait for the weekend.

Hopefully we will get lots of business placed today at work as it really hasn't been happening this week  Can't wait for the weekend!

Morning all,
Another dry day here, I actually had to water my veggies in the garden yesterday, first time for a long time.
of to w**k again today, got lots of little bits and pieces to finish off, and I am off to visit a charity this morning to see if we can give them some money, :T .
Something and oven chips tonight will go and delve in the freezer in a while, and sainsbugs are delivering tonight.
Will swish and swipe before work, and get a wash on when I get back, but other than that not a lot of old style will be done today.
DD has got to make bread at school next week, she has made it before, but I am so pleased that they are teaching them os cooking :T :T
Hester I hope you have a better day at work today xx
Hugs to any in need xx
Poppy week to go eh
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning, I've been up since 4.15, am not sleeping at all well, so much to do. I was at DD2's at 5.30am y/day working on the out building, the ceiling and 1 wall has been replastered so I uni-bonded the other walls, sanded door and skirting and managed to put first coat on walls and scrape clean the floor. Messy plasterers!!
Had to hire a de-humidifier as the plaster won't dry out in time, not really OS but I'm running out of time. I fitted 6 shelves and a work top. Will put 2nd coat on walls and uni-bond and tile the floor and fit other 4 shelves today, hopefully move TD and small freezer in there tonight. I'm finding it hard going without DH being able to help, have asked Odd job man to help me move appliances, I have a sack barrow but can't manage the steps on my own. Must remember to get venetion sp. blind out of our garage to hang in the out building, got from re-cycle.
I came home to get DH some lunch and took him back to DD's with me. He is so frustrated at not being able to do anything, he gets so tired and is feeling very down. Can't wait to finish this suprise make over, don't think I would have started it if I knew it would be a single handed job.
Have sorted everything that has to go in there so no probs filling it up again.
Finished at 6 last night and popped to Morries, got lots of YS stuff. Most of the veg is in SC, BM should be finished by 7. Having YS Haddock, new pots corn on cob for dinner & fruit salad.
DD2's bedding in WM. Have to take her king size quilt to launderette as it won't fit in my WM. Have washed and rehung her bedroom curtains, thankfully they didn't shrink.
I haven't had time to get on here since Tues so haven't caught up with what's been the ups and downs on this thread, bet there's loads of congrats and hugs to be sent. Consider it done.
We are supposed to be going to a wedding on Sat. but don't know if I'll be able to stay awake or if DH will be up to it. Haven't a thing to wear and no cash/time for shopping.
I will take things easy next week. Although I have DH's books to sort for the Accountant, and my Mum and OH are coming next Sun and staying for a week. Hopefully after that DH and I can fly off somewhere for a week in the sun.
OMG. Have I Molliered or what!
Lots of ((((((((((((( hugs to you all )))))))))))))))))0 -
back to work today. got a meeting tonight, and a buffet before hand

need to phone sister later and see where she stands with this bank merger as she works for one of the banks involved.
was just thinking about our mortgage. it started off as a Leeds mortgage, then it became the Halifax, then HBOS and now...whatever they are going to call it!
we are stuck with ours though, the savings to be made on such a small amount are not worth the arrangement fees or what ever they call them. mind you only three years to go and its finished.
hope everyone is feeling better.x x x0 -
Morning all
I've been awake since 2, I have decided to put all my complaints in writing, having sat & thought about it, there are people who could help, but won't. There is a possibility that someone in the team maybe moving roles, so I'm going to ask for the opportunity to take on her role. I also need to phone our paper company & find out how much a box of paper weighs so I can find out how much weight I shift in a day.
I made chocolate brownies last night for the PE teacher who helped me on Monday, they worked out fine in the remolska, lazy meal tonight, chicken pieces & salad.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester
