Been thinking about what Tesco voucher lady (okay know it wasn't 'lady' but I'm in full flow here and can't remember and because I'm quickposting I can't go back and see!) said on here yesterday, part of me is very intregued by the idea of writing again, I do really enjoy it, but I don't know what exactly I would write!

You could start with short stories to get you back into it, just write whatever you feel like and you might come across a good idea!!

Discount book shops are my weakness too, there's one at the lakeside where I go shopping with my mum, on tuesday they had rachel allen cookbooks and james martin *swoon* for £7 each. Saying that I bet they'd be cheaper on bookpeople! They also had the new millers guide for £7.99 it took alot to walk away from that.

Really sorry to hear about your cat Cinny *huggers hug*

This Bananas place has the new Gordon Ramsey Hardback fish book down from £25 to £4. Cookbooks are like my !!!!!!, love flicking through and looking at all the pictures and drooling! Got one on dinner in a dash, barbeques, afternoon tea, French cooking by Joanne Harris (Chocolat author, love that book), the saturday cooks one, quick breads, healthy lunchbox, and supersize vs superskinny which isn't so much a cookbook but I love that programme!

Actually considering I got 2 craft books, one fiction and the national trust one, that's not a bad haul for £30!

Cooking shows are even worse for me, I get hooked! I love baking but it's abit of a curse in my house, I've got a massive list of baked goods people want to take into work to share on their last day tomorrow. Making some scones too, been soaking dried fruit in strong tea with some fresh nutmeg since last night to put in them. Not a clue how it will turn out though. most likely bad knowing my track record with 'adapted' recipes.

Thanks Dinah, Daisy was 16 so I kind of knew she wouldn't last forever, but i'd of liked to of been there with her. No one else had the time for her because she was getting quite slow, i even left a list for them for if she meowings in suchandsuch a place she's asking for suchandsuch.

That's not a bad haul at all (hey, I'm a poet!)

I put so many cookbooks ect on my christmas list I can't buy any until afterwards. Going to force myself to put most of my christmas money in the bank towards my £20,000 (oh dear!) but I'll set myself a limit and treat myself to lots of nice cookbooks in the sales :D along with clothes, of course.

aww, my cat daisy used to do that! It annoyed everyone but me. She passed away on sunday while I was away, it's so hard getting used to her not being there wailing away. Last night I was lying awake waiting for her to come to the door and completely forgot!

Oh nooo, I'm so sorry! Hope you're OK!!

Thanks Tete! I'm okay now, still abit upset if i think about it. I've had her since I was one so it's so so weird her not being about anymore. Was abit odd though because Rich woke me up on sunday morning saying their was a daisy-like sound coming from outside. I couldn't hear it but still, abit spooky!

I'm getting my craft books in the sales, and I will browse Boots online, but I want to avoid going this year. Always buy lots of clothes and I don't really want to get them! I'm hoping a mystery Gym visit comes up as I want to trial it find out if I would go properly. I'm gotten a bit curvier in the last year, which in some ways is good (like most men OH isn't complaining about the ever increasing boobs!) but in others means my hips no longer fit into my old clothes, and everything just looks a bit pulled. But rather than buy new I want to get back down to a 8-10 rather than the 10-12 I'm at now, which isn't a huge way but I'd feel a lot more confident in myself.

Aw, it makes me want to cry! My 17 year old cat had to be put to sleep after having a stroke that made him all unbalanced so he kept falling over, I still get really upset about it a couple of years on and now that I have two more :(

Ona completely different note, and to compose myself a bit, on dooyoo: you only get points for ratings in Speakers' Corner and not for the review itself... but does 'Discussion' count as SC or not?

I'm an upsidedown pear shape (i'm sure Mr Gok would have a better name for it) built like the girl who won miss naked beauty. I look terrible in jeans so have to wear dresses all year round! So I have to make the most of the sales so I can get good quality, I can get away with cheap shirts with skirts but cheap dresses look awful on me, go in and out at the wrong places.
I was trying to avoid the sales this time but my sister wants some new dresses for when she goes to London so I said I'd go with her. So I'll no doubt spend too much.
