Where is it you want to go in Europe? I think after so long of looking at hotels they will all start looking the same!

I'm looking at tickets for Cadbury World now Dinah, I hope you're happy!

If they all look the same Flower just book the cheapest one!

Pilchard, sorry to hear about the hassle getting your money back, give them hell until it's sorted! And it sounds like you're doing the right thing with work, sometimes you have to factor in things other than money to realise that a lower paid job may actually be better for you!

I want to go to Cadbury world! I'd probably die of over-excitement being around so much of the good stuff but I'm willing to risk it!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Woooohoooo! Got £82 from Gap MS today, didn't think I had done any jobs for them recently but these might be February's jobs, no idea really! Also got £11 through from Grassroots MS for a job I did for them last week. VERY happy as this means that I have more than hit the target to get our two £250 regular saver payments covered tomorrow, so can actually use a little of this money instead of taking money out of the 2008 ISA.

Got my payslip today, pay this month is about £60 up on normal (should have been more, but Student Loan Company took an extra £16). All of my 'bonus' from my pay increase, kind of vanished between student loan and the £30 drop in car allowance, so there is just the little back payment from last year that is going to go into savings.

NIM has also been told hes achieved his targets (one of the only people who has) so is getting a bonus which should be in his bank tomorrow. Wish he got payslips in an orderly way, would make my budgetting so much easier!

Side note, I've never got a statement from the student loan company, when/do other people get them? Would be good to know what I still owe! One bloke at work still gets student loan payments taken off him despite paying it off nearly two years ago!

Trying to apply for the egg saver for NIM, for some reason tonight my head has melted with all the figures! I've had to make a spreadsheet just so I can work out what normally goes where on payday, what is going where this month, and what will be going where is subsequent months!

Been to Cadburys world before and love it, NIM wants to go though its a treat for him. Didn't know about the lastminute.com tickets to get in though!

If I can be good (big if huh!) now I have these weekends away booked might be able to make it through the year with just some weekends in Ireland, maybe one or two weekends in my parents friends cottage in Northumberland (very romantic, had a great time last time) and go to New York at Christmas. However the sub £400 5 days in Paris seems like too big a bargain to pass up.... hmm!

I think you are supposed to get your student loan statment every september, but i am sure you could ring up and request one be sent out.

Dont pretend cadburys world is a treat for NIM! You want to go as much as him lol.

OH doesnt get his payslips in advance (or orderly for that matter), its so annoying! Sometimes he'll come home with a payslip and when i look to see where its for, its two weeks ago. Well thats no good to me!! His reply is i shouldnt be such a budgeting freak - charming

haha your OH most likely has a boss like my Dad Flower! Has mounds of payslips stacked up on his desk, dishes them out when he remembers!

It's only £10 each if you go through lastminute Dinah, really tempted to take OH on Sunday, we have no plans and it'd be a bit of a treat for us. Birdie you really should go! When I went they gave you shots of chocolate, I think my sister had about 8 (not even going over the top there) really lovely day out, and when you're getting to the factory you get to pass all the houses that Mr Cadbury man built for his oompa-loompas, sorry, employees, to live in.

ETA: I take so long to post! It is weird he hasn't been taxed, should get that sorted before the tax man notices and takes a massive chunk off him!

Right I'm off to bed, your last day as a DFW Dinah! I'll have an overpriced drink tomorrow night in celebration for you! Night everyone!

OHs boss is a !!!!!! Not only is he the most disorganised person i have ever met, but he walks around thinking the world owes him something. He thinks hes something special, i know hes the manager of the pub but he makes out like he owns it. He treats the staff like absolute rubbish aswell!

Cinny - your making me hungry talking about chocolate. I really want to go back to cadbury world, thats the only thing about moving to the midlands that im looking forward to lol

ETA oops it obviously didnt like my description of OHs boss!!
