I agree with Birdie! Harumph!
Completely off topic, anyone know of any cheap last minute holiday type websites that I might not have thought of? I'm having a lzy afternoon after my busy morning and gym visit!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Thought I'd have a mini catch up before my bake-a-thon afternoon! Cupcakes and twink(ies?) hobnobs!
I'm sure NIM will pick the right thing Dinah, even if he does pick the call centre job, you really need to take the best you can get atm. Even if the farm does make him headache happy!
Can't think of any websites Tete! Unless you just want to look at hotels then lasthotel?
Now, off to use all the flour and eggs in the house!0 -
Hmm, Cinny you're making me want to bake!!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

That didn't take long, got to the kitchen to find a worried looking Cinny-Mum saying she'd used the last of the SR flour. Looks like I have a long afternoon of MSE and House of Elliott ahead of me. Oh dear, how will I cope?
Shame your OH didn't get the hints about the Jimmy Carr tickets Tete! Maybe next time you should put up pictures of Jimmy Carr with a speach bubble saying 'Hey, I'm coming to town!' or would that be taking it a tad too far?0 -
Apparrently my non-work things make it too cluttered and someone else couldn't pick it up and understand it..... God I hate my job.
Going to make the most of flexi and leave at 4 today. Should get home by 4.50, which gives NIM and I 5 mins to have a kiss before he has to go to the other job.
I get what you mean Cinny, NIM says the same thing, at the moment its about the money, this is just supposed to be a short term job to keen us solvent while he trains for the 'proper' job. That needs to be on mondays to do list for him too, find out what course he needs to do to get the teaching thing going, a lot of the courses start in May so its a bit urgent. When he tried in jan the course he needed had closed a week earlier.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

LOL Cinny, I like your idea of hinting subtly!
I've just trapped my finger in the metal bindery bit of a lever arch file, I have a perfect half moon cut on my little finger and a surprising amount of blood came out- ouch! It is now wrapped up in a plaster (my first aid kit proving itself useful!) and is throbbing- boohoo!
Got a call from the registry office in reply to my price query, it should cost £200 to get hitched there, which isn't bad! Saying that, OH text me this morning to say that he'd been looking at the hotel in the Dominican and they do free weddings if you book 5 rooms, he talked to his Mum and brothers yesterday who said that if we went abroad to get married they'd all come so that's looking positive! If we love it there it may be an option!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Wow debt free tomorrow Dinah - how cool! Champagne AT LEAST. You two should definitely head off for a really nice dinner or something.
Sounds like NIMs work schedule is hardcore. Try not to worry too much about the house deposit - you've shown you can work miracles with money, and I have no doubt you will get there in 2 years. But also you two are young and should be having fun, as well as being brilliant savers.
Well I got approved for one of those horrific vanquis credit cards with a million percent interest. But the good news is £30ish Quidco! Cool. Also got some mega book token joy for my birthday. Was thinking of selling £25 gift card on ebay, and also got some perfume bits and pieces to put on there. One small pound saved ... one step closer to giant degree. Semt off my LSE app form, so fully applied up now.
MMM baking on demand Cinny .... where's those cool replicators from Star Trek? I want baked goods to come from my computer!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Afraid age doesn't come into it Lara, I don't have the luxury of relaxing and seeing where I am in five years. I know I want kids, and my blood pressure is very bad, so I need to have them sooner rather than later, so basically I want to work hard for a few years so that having kids is comfortable rather than a long stretch. These are the years for money and career, can do family in 5 years or so and hopefully be in a position where I no longer have to stretch every penny.
I got refused for AQA, very dissapointed, no reason given or anything.
Not going out tomorrow night, NIM is doing both jobs again tomorrow which is good as an extra £22ish we weren't expecting. Might go out saturday night, it's up to NIM though as he's been working so hard all week, if he just wants to loaf at home then that's what we'll do.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Sorry about AQA not accepting you Dinah, that sucks! Since you're not going out tomorrow night we'll have an all day DF party for you tomorrow!
I can't really keep up with what's going on with you university-wise Lara but since you say you're fully applied now, well done! I suppose it is just waiting to be accepted then you'll be off a-learning?! What is it you're wanting to do again? I've got a memory like a... can't remember!
How exciting, just got 2 mentions on the local radio station! They were doing a lyrics competiton to win a months free karate lessons and I nearly got the question right, but not quite- couldn't really hear because of course everyone started talking really loudly just as I wanted to listen, but I think I put Wham instead of George Michael!. Anyway, on the text I said, 'I'd love to win so I can learn to show my fiance who's boss!' and the DJ bloke liked it and urged to me try again tomorrow! How sad am I that I got excited by it! Not sad - I got very excited when I text the radio in Feb to say we could top the 'longest journey to work in snow' at 3 hours and 15mins and we still weren't there yet and they read it out!
Party sounds fun but I'm dissapointed there will only be virtual cake!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
