They might be actually, his mum keeps on asking me when I'm taking him off her hands. I must paint her to be a right old witch with the rent but she's a lovely woman really! But it's £50 then he buys all his lunches and teas on top of that. He was close to moving into one of my dads properties last month but I sat him down and drilled the figures into him and he just can't afford his own place - lodging or even house sharing would be perfect for him!

ETA - Yay 250 pages _party_ I think we might get bumped off soon. Think we need a new thread!

Whoop! 250 pages! And nearly 5000 posts! Your OH should definitely look at house sharing; it isn't financially possible for most people to live alone but sharing isn't that bad, even with people you don't know.

Unfortunately it's often a case of what we actually can afford rather than what we ideally want. He needs to clear this debt before you could even consider moving in with him, and realistically on your salary you're not going to be looking to move in with him until you've done the course and have a full time job. Moving flat is an expensive business, deposits, rent up front, deposits to get a phone line put in, moving costs etc, so suggest he works towards clearing the debt and saving these up, if he wants to be out of there enough it should be a good incentive to work towards.

    Here Here!!

I think he could clear he debts in 3 or 4 months. I'm going to be on his case from this payday, I wish I could get on his online banking and give him weekly pocket money or something! I could get his debts in order and sorted, but he wont learn if I do it all for him.

LOL, I think that has to wait until you're living with him or he may get scared Cinny! Maybe you could steal his bank card and just give him enough cash for pocket money and stand over him and make him pay his bills!

Ooooh, I love those! The Jasmine one is stunning. I was wondering what happened too DOTD this morning.

I've offered to sort out a budget for OH on payday with his help, he's got MOTs and what not coming up so needs some money stashed away for that. I can actually use my DFW skills! Is it odd I'm excited?!
