I forgot to label my sample! NIM had to get it out of all the bags and wrappers and look at it and label it! Ewwwwww! I can't believe he can still touch me!

Oh dear, poor poor NIM! My relationship took a nice turn when OH had norovirus and we had to go away for a night in the lakes... he passed it onto me when we got back and gave me his leftover immodium with a knowing smile! LOL!
Re: Mouldgate, it is terrible, all along the wall where the bed is, saw it on Saturday when I was tidying up some stuff, there's a blanket under the bed (guess who tidied that away?!) that was touching the wall and now is looking a bit green! Ewwww! It covers about 2/3rds of the wall along the bottom. I knew the rooms felt damp! I gave OH the builder's number as I'm sick of talking to him (after he more or less called me a liar when I rang a couple of weeks ago to ask him to sort out the carpet replacement following the leak!)

    Poor NIM indeed! Bless him!

Just got a text from OH, his mum has put his rent up by another £10! I know people on here pay more to live at home but £50 a week, to share a room with 3 others, have his things thrown all over the place and hardly being at home anyways his mother has got to be joking! Really winds me up, then she lets OHs brother (the 18 year old) lay in bed all day watching (OHs) tv and playing (OHs) playstation. Ugh, sorry, just need to vent!

Hope you get your flat sorted Birdie, it's horrible to say but it just seems like one thing after another! Fingers crossed for the meeting tomorrow, hopefully you'll get some kind of break through. Put your bossy boots on!

ETA: Managed to trim more money off my Vespa insurance - down too £50 now (I go halfsies with my sister as she gets hers paid for by the company) made my day! :j

That seems a bit harsh of your OH's Mum Cinny! I'm not surprised he's wanting to move out. At 21 years old it isn't ideal to be sharing a room with 3 other people, I'm surprised he's lasted this long TBH, despite the financial strains of living alone!

We're getting really fed up with the flat now, so many things have gone wrong since moving in, I think that subconsciously we're not settling in properly yet, and we won't until we know whats going on the with LHA, we haven't put anything up on the walls or bought the shelves and stuff we were planning on getting in case we're not staying!

    Hi everyone,

Cinny - it would be a good idea to do driving lessons. I was rubbish when learning and took me ages but your road experience will help you!

Dinah - hope your tummy feels better soon.

Birdie - hope you manage to sort something out with the flat, sounds like a nightmare

Tete - sounds like you are being very organised on your day off.

Not much to report from me really, just at work.

Must feel like you're stuck in limbo or something! Really hope you get it sorted soon, I'm surprised you've managed too keep your cool and not going off on a right verbal rampage!!

I think it's the costs more than anything. I'd happily move out when I'm 19/20, so I've told him if he can hang on until then that's great and we'll go in it together, the big wild adult world! But if it's better for his sanity then he should go for it, his mum is really walking all over him.

I agree shes taking the mic a bit, but does she provide his food? Many parents might ramp the cost in an attempt to get him to move out anyway. Most people would spend at leat £40 on food for one per week (OSers aside!), so if food is included he'd be doing well to use this as an incentive to clear his debts so he can move out once they are gone.

I think it'll be good for him if he finds a couple of friends to move in with, or look for people wanting a lodger. Actually, lodging will be good as it won't cost that much and bills are included. Even if he's living in a poky little room at least he'll be on his own and his stuff won't be getting used by the other brothers all the time!
ETA: crossed posts with Dinah, who probably has a point that he may be being 'nudged' out by his Mum!

Sharing a room with THREE others? I hope it's a big room, yikes! I think Dinah's right, debts are easily paid off when living at home so he should use it as his incentive to pay them off and build up some savings for when you move in together. I was at a party at OH's friends' on Saturday and they've just done their place up lovely, made me really want to have my own space.

Birdie it really does sound like one thing after another, I'd forgotten about the leak til you mentioned it there. Sounds like a real cowboy :(

Hi Wendz, hehe, might sound organisd but doesn't look it from where I am. Decided to sort my Paperwork Pile which has been building up on the floor so now it's all spread out across the bed with a couple of cats perched amongst it, I'm going to put A Bout de Souffle to try and revise some French whilst I sort through it. I should be out in the garden but it burns! :(

ETA - Happy 250 Pages everyone!! :T That's a lot of wisdom and musing!!
