Still sounds awful smug for someone who still knows nothing! Have downloaded all the 'it pays to watch' episodes from the internet so I can show OH over time, teach him about money as he doesn't get it at all. I think the main thing that has meant I've cleared so much so fast is I'm stupidly headstrong and one I have an idea in my head I'm like a dog with a bone and won't let go. Have spent so long spending every minute thinking and breathing moneymaking will be almost like an addiction to break.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Yeah, I totally understand that feeling. But I think once you have learnt all the money saving tips on this site, they will stay with you forever.
BTW, don't think you would come across as smug, more inspiring. I for one, love to hear how someone has gotten themselves out of debt in a short space of time and it certainly motivates me.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks CMD. It's just even I look back and can't see how I have done so much so quickly,so anyone who doesn't know me who I try to advise will just think 'well she must have an amazing salary, it's harder for me'Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

You best not toddle off to the savers forum missy! I'm a saver, not a DFW. There is someone with a thread on here who's seeing her saving goal as how much debt she wants to get out of i'm sure, so you could do something like that.
I'm going to get more into saving after christmas (no more present buying, yay!) so I need your happy-go-lucky kinda ways to keep me going.0 -
Aww that's sweat Cinny! My aim for next year is to save a whopping 20k! And that's me breaking my new years resolution cherry there, as I have never made one before! I'll browse savers for advice on accounts and such, but DFW is my home and the people here are so much nicer *big hugs*
And 'missy'?! You sound like my grannie but I know for a fact you're younger than me!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

hiya, hope you dont mind me randomly posting on your thread.
Have to agree with CMD its more inspiring to read how people got debt free. themeccas had a great story! I wouldn't worry about people thinking you were smug (i no i dont know you but you don't come across as someone who would be like that)0 -
Course I don't mind purpleroses, always a pleasure when anyone posts! Will have to look for themeccas, see if he/she has any ideas I have missed - would be great to up the pace even more.
I'm annoyed, usually we get our payslips the day before payday, I want to see how much is coming!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
