Oh Birdie you must be so bumed. Have you had a chance to speak to the other couple? If not you should get together and contact the HA. I am sure that they (HA) would perfer to own the whole building.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
😁Debt Free and you can do it too0 -
I don't know much about it but I'd think ROTE is right, surely if the HA own the whole building it'll make maintaining it easier etc?
Ugh, I hate people who swear for no reason, especially to strangersWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
The other couple actually work at the same place as I do so I've had a quick chat with the girl. They've checked with their solicitors already who say that there's nothing that can be done but I'm going to find the number of the person at the HA dealing with it all and set up a meeting for us all. My only worry is how much money we're going to lose as I can't see the HA giving us what we paid for it, which means we'll be living in rented accomodation (as it was bought on shared equity so we won't be able to buy anywhere else) paying off a mortgage since we'll have sold for less than we borrowed! Nightmare!!!!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Oh Birdie! Feeling very frowny face for you, and after all the hassle to get it in the first place! Even selling to the HA would you be making a loss? I agree with ROTE - get with the other couple in the building and see how they feel. It is complete unfair they didn't even tell you.
Just had my hair cut back into an inverted bob and I'm already regretting it, can't wait to get home give it a good ol' wash and style it how i like it - my hairdresser has a thing for curling hair under the chin making me look like a boy! Just off to the office toilets to attack it with a brush.
ETA: Took me so long to post! I really don't know what to say Birdie, I'm sure you'll find a way to sort it out.0 -
Birdie it sounds like a horrible situation, but I refuse to believe (just yet) that nothing can be done. Yes set up the meeting with the HA, can you speak to your Local Authority too? And what about Citizens Advice, is there anything they could do? You could even go to the local paper if you're feeling boisterous, that usually seems to get things moving! What do the builders have to say about it? I really feel for you on this, big hugs!
Cinny what's an inverted bob? I've just been looking at pics of fringes and have come up with this pic of Kirsten Dunst that I like: http://www.sawf.org/Newsphotos/Hollywood/Kirsten_Dunst_Sony_Global_Marketing_Partners_Conference.jpg
Don't know if I'm brave enough to ask for it though, it'll never look the same on me!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
That fringe is really nice! I'd ask for it to be cut a tiny bit shorter as it would grow out fast. You should go for it Tete! If you don't like it it looks long enough to brush to one side anyways. That photo is making me insanely jealous though, I can't wait until my roots have grown out and my hair is in tip top shape so I can grow it nice and long. This is what I've had my hair cut like: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NO2UOMMYKZ0/SWMyZ0p2moI/AAAAAAAAD44/PRU2qjo3D6Y/s1600/Inverted%2BBob.jpg
Ooh, yes. You could go to the paper if it gets worse, I feel so bad for you Birdie! Such a horrible thing to of happened, specially on your first house. Maybe things won't be so bad? and you'll get nice neighbours and not stinky tracksuit wearers? If you don't mind relocating I know of a lovely mid terrace with oddly shaped windows for the taking.0 -
LOL @ Cinny, I think Doncaster is a little too far to travel, even for oddly shaped windows!I think I'll get OH to pop to CAB today, if they're open, and I must find the number of this HA woman to set up a meeting. I will take it to our local paper if I have to, it is so unfair that we have potentially lost so much in such a short space of time! I like the Kirsten fringe tete, I can't have a fringe because I have a bit of a cow-lick that makes it stick up uncontrolably! I can't see the picture of your haircut Cinny (stupid work blocking it!) but I'll have a look tonight. You never get a 'feel' of a new haircut until you wash all the gunk out so don't worry too much!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I'm sure the newspaper would be interested in a story like that, with the current climate aswell! It's a bum about the shared equity, I'm sure there's something that could be done! Have you posted in the housing threads? They might be able to get together some ideas.
I know, I keep on telling myself 'it will be better once it's been washed' just been looking at Tigi bedhead bits online, put everything I wanted in the basket and it's come to over £40, yikes!0 -
I was about to suggest the housing forums Birdie, might get a better idea of what your rights are or if you have any (!) - is it a big builder (Barratt or something I mean) - could they move you into another location maybe? (I'm think I might be living in my own little happy flappy land there, but you never know!)
The only thing that bothers me about that Kristen hairdo is that it's a centre parting and I have a side one now and don't know whether I'll be able to force it to the centre, I think it might just keep going to the side. Might just go for the sweepy side fringe again . That hairdo's lovely Cinny, very sharp! I always want short hair but it makes me look like a 6 year old unfortunatelyWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
It is a pain moving your parting but after a few serious blow drying sessions it normally learns! With that fringe I think you could easily push it to the side if you didn't like it. I kind of rashly picked to have the inverted bob, which is why I'm not too keen on it as it's a shock! I was just going to ask for a tidy up and to thin my hair out a bit. Then the words 'inverted' and 'bob' came out.0
