How many laps are you aiming for tonight Tete?
Still sat swinging on my chair at work, things still seem in full go so I might be here for a while yet!
OH has sent me a text complaining, he says he has my germs. Says he's been downing water all day which is worrying as that's how mine started, bless him!0 -
Enjoy swimming Tete! Did you find any pretty things to buy or were you strictly virtual shopping?
I hope your OH doesn't get poorly, Cinny, you know what boys are like!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
On the phone to a happy little man from gala bingo, its alright this being able to legally gamble online lark. But people seem to think you're fibbing - extra doubts if you use a visa electron! Ho-hum.
Been almost a week and not heard anything about my ISA account, at least they haven't taken the money out my CA.
Poddle - I think man flu is kicking in 'I'm sure *feeble weeze cough* i've drank my body weight in water *sniffle*' Help!
Right, now I have done all my adult stuff, I'm off to watch outnumbered with mummy!0 -
Only 2 days work left!!
Good news; Just got free tickets to see Coraline in 3 weeks, the code's 372736 on www.tellten.co.uk if anyone wants to go.
Bad news; looks like it's going to rain on Friday! I hope the weatherman is as wrong as two wrong things. And, I still haven't been paid as £5ph! I'm about £12 short, I wouldn't really mind if it was pennies but that could actually buy something.0 -
I don't really care about the weather on Friday- I have to work! 'In this current economic climate blah blah blah we have to work all possible days blah blah blah' I don't mind that much, we get a day in lieu and I wasn't planning anything anyway, actually I put my foot in it with the lady I was training last week because I was saying that I don't really like Easter weekend because of all the bloody caravans on the road... and she said that'd be her on Friday! Ooops! It's true though, especially around here as people seem to flock to the area!
It sucks that you're still not getting proper wages Cinny, get your Dad told off!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I had a word with my Uncle about it, he said he told the person who does all the wage slips (another company, so I can't tell them off!) and it should be sorted next week. I'm going to offer taking the pennies out of petty cash, means I'd have money for the hairdressers tomorrow, Plus no tax!

I'm not too fussed on Easter either really (bar the chocolate) I just like the 4 day weekend. Got all week off this year though, so it's something to look forward too.
I'm a caravaner and Caravans on the motorway annoy me too! I wouldn't worry about putting your foot in it, you're right!0 -
I'm jealous that you've got the whole week off! My next week off is in June and we haven't got anything planned for it yet. I've only got 2 days left to take to the end of July which is nowhere near enough, I don't feel like I've had any decent stretches of time off work for ages; I actually haven't come to think of it, I had 2 weeks last September and that is it, just odd days here and there since. I'm even less impressed that I'm going to have to use a precious day's holiday taking OH to hospital for his op. I want to be a teacher so I can have lovely long holidays!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Don't be jealous! I'll have nothing to do! OH is at work all week, so is everyone else, I'm just hoping the weathers sunny so I can take Darcy for a pedal, or sit in the garden sunning and reading, and although that sounds great I'll be brain dead by Wednesday.
Would it make you feel better to know my sister works in a school and can only use her holidays in school holidays? Plus I think there's a limit of how many she can take in the summer holidays too.0 -
I don't know if I'd like the life of a teacher or not, you're right about only having holidays when kids are off too but the sheer number of holidays should make up for it! At least a week off every 6 weeks or so then those lovely long summer holidays... I've just signed up to the £1000 in 100 days challenge! Eek!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Good luck Birdie!! Are you going to put it in your sig?
Those holidays would be weighed out by kids being nasty and I've always thought of them staying up until past midnight marking work! Although, being a primary school teacher. Say year 1, that would be nice!0
