Don't forget I manage all the monies girlies, I'd know if he'd bought a ring! Don't go getting me even more excited.
Got my £20 from ING today for opening that account, NIM hasn't yet as they need some more ID details, which we need to put in an envelope for mum to send tomorrow.
Suitcases are packed, tickets and passports are in my hand luggage, little concerned about the bags as we have 15kgs each, which we have split as 20kg in the big case and 10kg in the little one. Worst comes to the worst the toiletries are 2kg on their own and can be moved to the little case with the shoes.
Still to do tonight:
Charge and update ipod
NIM needs to do his 4 MS reports from this evening
Write up free scratchies instructions for mum
Set gmail to 'on holiday'
pack phone charger
pack camera and get batteries
Do the last round of surveys
Finish last 24 pages of book so don't have to take it with me for 10 mins of reading!

I have to admit tonight i have been looking on the rightmove pages for houses again! Well OH is at work and i decided not to go out to try and save some money, so thought i might aswell. I have fallen in love with a lovely modest 3 bedroom semi detached house on there, oops!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Leaving the house at 4.30 am for a 8am flight, kind of excited but really terrified of the long plane journey too.

No they are savings made per month, so £6k plus so far this year, I have a diary on MFW board (no where near as good as this one though) http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1390913 We cannot continue at this rate but Aprils should be a good one, am hoping for at least £1,000 per month after that.
Enjoy your hols & relax!!

I know! What do we do now?! Take up camp with flasks of Coffee and Custard Creams until she gets back?
Locked up in the house feeling rubbish yesterday, and it was so lovely and sunny I should of been out on my bike! (which is loverly! Will post pictures as soon as they're taken) £10 budget has gone to pot yet again! Spent £20 in H&M on a tea dress. Have £5 left from my 'budget' - will cover my part of dinner for tomorrow and I'm picking up a £2 fleece for my puppys bed from primark too. I'll do better next week, promise! :rotfl:
Have a nice day Girls!0 -
Morning girls! I'm posting this from Home! I actually have broadband and OH has finally sorted my laptop so I can get online without having to do it on the big tv! I start work at 2 today and work till 10- that's past my bedtime! It's only for today and tomorrow though so not too bad!
Can't wait to see the Pashley Cinny! I hope yopu get lots of lovely weather soon so you can go cruising!
We've had a major financial disaster which I found last night. I have 2 bank accounts, one with HSBC and one with A&L. I thought that the mortgage was coming out of the HSBC account since our insurance and stuff was coming out of it (it's all been set up with a financial advisor type who sorted everything out for us) so I had more than enough to cover the payments in that account. Just found my A&L statement last night (which OH had 'tidied' away...) and the mortgage has been taken from that account, taking me both overdrawn and past my overdraft limit! Luckily it was only for 3 days as I got paid but now I'm going to be overdrawn again as I got paid on the 13th and have been spending as it £670 hasn't been taken from my account so I've had to move money around, but it'll take a few days to clear... argh! OH really isn't that bothered and keeps telling me to stop stressing but I'm sure it would be the other way around if it was his account this had happened to!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. And me!! NIM might want to let you choose the ring Dinah!
Augh, I'm so jealous, they'll be sunning it up now! I went all the way up to Stanley for a meeting this morning and when I got there it transpires it's on the 30th April, not MarchI try not to be a dizzy blonde but I guess it's just in my nature.
Yes Cinny, we conquered Helvellyn yesterday!!! Bit achey today but not too bad. Was like a summer's day at the bottom but when we got to the top it was all snowy and windy, absolutely arctic. It's a shame as I would've like to spend more time on the top admiring the view but it was seriously too cold.
Well done on getting the Pashley - did you go for green or black in the end? And £500 in savings is still great!
Lara, glad it all went well on Friday, sounds knackering though! And Bon Voyage for Wednesday!! We still need to book a hotel actually for Paris ... Will pop it on the to do list!
When's your interview Poddle? Did you manage to get anything to wear?
Hope everyone else is well, I'm off out to buy some lunch (I thought I'd be getting a free one at the meeting)
ETA - oh dear Birdie! It's a shame but it's done now, will soon be sorted! Try not to stress about it!! xWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
That's a pain in the bottom Birdie, but you didn't know so I wouldn't stress it. I get where you're coming from though, i'd be freaking out if it was me!
Well done on climbing Helvellyn Tete! I think you should treat yourself to dinner anyhow after that climb!
I got the green one in the end, it's effecting my normal sitting already - I don't think I've ever sat so straight!
I think NIM might propose aswell! Even though Dinah said it was off the table, but anywho!0 -
Afternoon all,
I'm sure we can keep some sort of conversation going while Dinah's away! I think a proposal might be on the cards too - eek exciting!
Are you feeling okay now, Cinny? Can't wait to see pics of the Pashley (it seems wrong just to call it a 'bike') - I'm so impressed at how quickly you saved for it
Well done on Helvellyn, Tete! That's a very productive weekend! I wouldn't worry about the dizzy blondeness - I have moments like that all the time and my hair is almost black, so I don't have an excuse:rotfl:
Try not to stress about the bank accounts, Birdie, I know it's stupidly annoying when that happens, but what's done is done...
It's great news about Lara's interview with the tutor - glad the early morning was worth it and a trip to Paris is a nice reward! My second interview is Wednesday (april fools day!) but the same time and day as the first one so I'm hoping that's a good sign. I'm popping into town this afternoon to look for a dress - I figured I should take advantage of being able to shop during the week when it's quiet instead of on a Saturday with all the chavs and teenagers.
Have a good day, girls, hope the sun is shining where you are too!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380
