Not even if I pester a little bit too?
I, for a second, had £1000 in my savings account, and now I have £500. *sigh* Well this is what I save for, to have pretty things guilt and debt free right?! Rang my Grandpa, told him about having £1000 and he sempt proud, told me to enjoy my bike as I've worked hard for it. Told him about the ISA too so I think I'm in the old lads good books! I'm going bike shopping Tuesday afternoon I'll send pictures
Dinah - Have you got your holiday books sorted? How long's the plane ride? I have 7 hours in my head for some reason, I think you'll need 1 book each way just for that! Eeee, you must be so excited!!0 -
Insanely excited, haven't been this excited since I went to Ireland the second time for my first kiss with NIM!
How have your savings shot up so fast?! Your birthday money has confused my head I think. Congrats on the bike and I hope you enjoy it, should save money too as less petrol for the vespa.
I have sorted out 10 books for the 14 days, think that that will be enough??? Yep 7 hours each way.
Currently on hold with Dell, £179 to repair NIMs laptop, had forgotten about that - argh! Can't see us managing to get any more into the savings account this month now, what with the spending money on the holiday too. Not a good start to our house savings! Will have to go nuts on ebay when we get back.
Sold a book on amazon today though, so another £6.50 after postage roughly.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Well done on selling the book Dinah! If you manage to get those 5 pairs of shoes onto ebay after you get back, that'll go nicely towards yours and NIMs £20 a day. I'm sure you'll think of something, I've never known you to fall short yet, and you've had a lot going on!
10 books?! sounds like a lot, but about right for 2 weeks. Even more jealous now you have all that time to read! Like everyones been saying, you really do deserve it. And just think, you've got us lot to come back too *big grins*
And I've just had a cuddle off my sister for spending money :rolleyes:0 -
Ooh yay Cinny, you must be very excited about getting your nice lovely new bike! Your savings seem to have suddenly shot up, you have done really well i think!
Wow 10 books!! And i thought i was a fast reader!
What about if i pestered you to kiss a camel aswell? lolBiggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I think NIM might get jealous!!
It's mainly birthday money, I paid most of my weekly bills and pots with the money my grandparents gave me, so with what was left over and my wages being all mine for a change I managed to shift a lot over! Very giddy over the bike, doubt I'm half as giddy as a certain Miss though!0 -
Morning, feels odd posting on a Saturday!!
Did Tete go to the big mountainy hill yesterday?
Woke up at 5:50 this morning, my body is doing that horrible thing where you just automatically wake up when your alarm goes off. Not impressed! But I did manage to catch an hour of Winston Churchill on yesterday, got BBCParliament on now. Thinking I really should get up and make the most of being up early!
Coffee and toast anyone?
Have a nice last day in Ye Olde England Dinah!0 -
Hey Ladies
Had a great day in Lancaster, the tutors are so nice and made me feel very welcome. Met lots of other students and they seemed really friendly. Was so knackered by the time I got home at 11:30 - just crawled into bed. Must have had crazy dreams as OH said I pulled the pillows out from under his head and poked him(!)
Today I am going to be doing some reading, and also some work tomorrow. Then working Monday Tuesday in the office and off to Paris on Wednesday. Super excited! Although still got my cold - hope I can taste everything.
Dinah I hope you're super excited now, have a great time - what will we do without you for 2 whole weeks?!
Sounds like you're having some great interviews Poddle. Did you get something nice from Debenhams?
Cinny - well done on your lovely bike. We need more pictures!
