Morning everyone!
On the case of childrens books - I loved The Tale of Two Bad Mice by Beatrix Potter and The Dolls House by Katherine Mansfield. Still have my full collection of Beatrix Potter, but really should buy a book of Katherine Mansfield short stories. Oooh, I remember loving Milly Molly Mandy too - My mum read it to me and my sister at night until she got sick of saying "with father, and mother, and grandma and grandpa..."
Yesterday was great thanks! Dragged OH into town and got some books - 3 for £2.50 from the charity shops - put my birthday money in the bank. Got taken to McDonalds for my dinner (ooh, classy
) and spent the afternoon watching Countdown and Deal or no Deal. Then OH went home so I ate far too much chocolate and watched Easy Virtue (Colin Firth!!) Hope everyone else had a nice day too!
Sorry to hear about your problems with the bank Dinah! They're a pain in the bum that's what. They seem more than willing to give anyone credit, but lord help you if you just fancy putting your money somewhere! Like everyone says, in a couple of days you'll be sunning yourself and can forget about it for 2 weeks (is it two weeks?!) eating good food and smothering yourself from head to toe in culture (and sunscreen, don't want you getting burnt!)
ETA: Good luck today Lara! Try and get a few minutes shut eye on the train. Well done on the 2nd interview Poddle!0 -
Glad you had a good day Cinny! What did OH get you? Or have you said and I missed it?!
Is the Tale of Two Bad Mice the one where they're messing with a Doll's House? I loved that one, only because I loved all things Doll House when I was a bairn! I don't think I've read the Katherine Mansfield book though, I'll have to check that out! I still want a Doll House but OH won't let me until we have a 4 bedroomed house so I can have a room just for it! I watched a programme about it a few weeks ago and some women have taken over their whole homes with Doll Houses and I was sooooo jealous! The closest I got to a Doll House was a Playmobil House, which I still have for my kiddies to play with!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
He bought me two big bars of chocolate, he's paying for our weekend away in July but wanted to give me something for yesterday too. I can't complain

Yep - They take over the dolls house then steal bits for their mouse holes once the dolls come back, I loved the pictures more than anything! I'm still mightly impressed with dolls house food - I can never get over how real the handmade ones look!
Forgot to add in my first post, £900 in savings now! £100 off my Pashley

Oooh, your savings are going really well!
I used to buy little bits of DH food, in the hope that one day I'd have a teeny dining room table to put them on! They were really good, I had a fruit salad that had really well defined bits of fruit in it, and a tray of biscuits, some with foil on, I peeled the foil off one of them once and it looked like a chocolate biscuit underneath it, I thought it'd just be a bit of clay! I didn't get the DH but Barbie always enjoyed the food, even though the portions were a bit small for her!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. One of my colleagues BF got her a dollshouse for christmas one year. I thought that was lovely. I'd like to build one from scratch with NIM, he's really in to woodwork things, and I'm really into designing houses, perfect team!
Even though we were only aiming for £10 a day in March, we hit £15 a day, partly bodes well for April, but also not, as we're not going to be here to make money for half of it! With the MS we'll also have a gap where we get back and don't have any until they start coming through for the end of April/beginning of May again. Think NIM will have to be set on Ebay when we get back until the MS starts coming in again.
I have made another chart, this one is for daily money making things so we can see what we're doing well at, and what get forgotten about.
Got invited to another Bxxagent campaign yesterday, tampon testing! Free tampons so not going to turn them down, even if the rest of the time I don't use disposable protection. Also got a pack of maltesers through from mars to taste test yesterday, assume it's a new recipie or something, I love it when I come home to free chocolate!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Thanks, I don't think I'll make 1k by the end of the month, but I think £900 is a good enough sum to tell my Grandad!
Taking a bag of books down to the charity shops later today, need to be strong and not buy more! - I bought a 'Modern Girls Guide to getting hitched' yesterday to freak OH out. It worked, and now it's job is done! Cost 50p, not sure if I should take it back or put it on amazon?
ETA: Ooh, Free Chocolate! I wouldn't feel too comfortable testing tampons, I'm still too squirmish talking about below stairs stuff (see, can't even say it!) but chocolate I can do! What's really worrying is I think you'll be able to smash your targets for April anyways no problem, you can do it!0 -
See what they go for on amazon. If a book is going for 1p, after amazons fees you will recieve £1.41, which is rarely enough to post a book on and make profit.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Better smash the target, haven't ever failed it yet!
They've given me a posh ladies razor, yoghurts, chocolate and a book to test before, so I don't like to turn down campaigns as I might not get the good stuff again!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Just checked at they're 1p on amazon - I think I'll just take it back with the others and see it as a 50p donation. Plus the look on OHs face was priceless!0

Ooooh just remembered we have £14 in the paypal account, so that'll get april off to a good start. Also my ipoints total is at about 11,000 so should probably cash those out soon.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
