I've been loads, all though my childhood, and still whenever I go I can't believe how beautiful it is there, you'll love it! I really want a little slate cottage!

Since we're sharing names I'm a Robyn (Birdie...geddit???), I've only ever met one girl with the same name as me and she works in Boots, a little part of me dies when I see her name badge, I thought I was special and she's ruined it! LOL!

OH and I had planned to do loads of walking once the weather got better and he had to go and rupture his cruciate ligament! He won't be fixed until about June so that puts paid to walking trips! Enjoy the Lakes CMD, and your scary walk Tete!

Robyn is a quirky name (love the spelling) if it helps i've never known a Robyn, not even a boy called Robin! Apart for Mr.Hood.

That sounds so sweet for your Poddle! Must be a bit odd them being back together after so long? But still, that must be great!

the walk sounds spooky Tete, I bet you'll love it! Really need to start dragging OH up hills and things soon, get back into for summer. All of last summer was spent having picnics by the canal near my house, would like more walks and less jam tarts this year

Funny you should mention Robin Hood, when I marry OH my name will sound a look like Robin Hood, thankfully his surname isn't Hood, but it is close enough!

Don't give up too many Jam Tarts Cinny! Last year we had a lot of picnics, we found that we got so tired after carrying the picnic stuff for a bit we'd eat it all to make the bag lighter and carry on walking... then stop in a little cafe for a scone on the way back! We're not very hardcore walkers!

I've been mulling over this name after hearing it on Larkrise - Dorcas! I think child name wise, I'd go for Ralph and Mary.

Hmmm, fancy jam tarts now. Looks like they'll be in for our picnic tomorrow. With lemonade, cucumber sandwiches, and a flask of tea for OH. I'm feeling painfully english.
