  • Dinah are you not covered under your house insurance or would the excess be to much? Also if you paid by CC sometimes they cover you for accidental damage.

I don't know how you manage to do so many MS jobs, I do one RE job at a time and the report takes ages to complete. May be I write too much your it could simply be that I am new to it.

Lara so nice to hear that your new baby has come, does your sister have any names lined up.

I did pay by credit card, but surely it would just cover accidental damage in the post? HSBC mastercard if that makes any difference!

Just remembered I haven't yet filled in the mystery shopping reports from today! Oops! Well that's the next hour taken care of!

I made a very pretty chart tonight and stuck it on the wall (anyone wants to see it, tell me a photo hosting site!), to track the different accounts we've got in order to track how we're doing on the house deposit once the new tax year comes!

Managed to barter Dell down to £176 to repair it, including tax, vat and delivery and pick up. Have called a few other companies, no one has come in any cheaper by more than £4, and for £4 it's not worth voiding the warranty.

My sister has called her little boy Rory Aidan, I love Adian but I think Rory is a bit dodgy (sorry if anyone's OH is called that)!

Tonight I had such a good time, my best friend from school in Northern Ireland was playing in London with her band. She looked amazing on stage, a far cry from us messing about when we were 16 in the school music room.

Funny you guys are talking about book groups, my friend Alex has started one and we're meeting up on Friday. He just posted on Craigslist so I hope there'll be loads of different people. Remember that show the book group on telly?

I have the same problems about friends. In London it is the opposite problem - so easy to meet people and so hard to keep them. People are so busy and they tend to leave after one or two years. All my girly friends are in far flung places now, which is another reason why I *love* the girly chat fix on this thread.

    Take care everyone x

    Morning Girls!

OHs birthday went well, my ma and sister made me give OH his laptop at about 3  but still, he was chuffed with it and sempt to like the shoes and meal too. Off to Old Orleans this afternoon and then to see watchmen (i think) Keep on getting text from him when he finds something new on the computer, I've only been at work for 22 minutes and I've got 4.

As for the weight chat - I'd hate to be skinny! I'm pretty happy at size 12 (no longer an inbetween size!) I eat a pretty balanced diet and do enough exercises so I don't worry, never once thought of my BMI or whatever, as long as I feel good that's alright by me.

And on the friends chat - I am quite sad! Being homeschooled it was pretty hard to keep friends, as I lived in the town and most homeschooled kids I knew lived in far off places on farms, I lost contact with most of my school friends too as I was more interested in History and good books than clothes and boys. I've basically got my family (sad, I know, but my sister is my bestie!) OH, people at work and my only 'outside' friend piddled off to Canada for Uni.

Aidan is a lovely name, Rory is pretty cute too but just reminds me of Rory the tiger.:o

Anyways, I best get to work. 30p off payout on TAB now.

Oh right, need a bit of money chatter too!

Just moved my 'change' over from my CA to savings - so I'm at £630 now. Need to be really frugal after today, need to find £370 in 3 weeks. Sounds like a challenge to me! :D Looks like it's back to STP or something!

Morning everybody! Happy Friday! :) I feel all full of vim and vigour this morning for some reason! Lots to do though...

I really like Rory Lara, it does remind me of Rory the Lion though (the Boro mascot!), and Rory McGrath too :o

Dinah, I always fall asleep in the relaxing bit at the end of yoga too - then I feel all groggy and lightheaded (from all the deep breathing) when I have to get up and get on with the day, that's why I swapped to Pilates which leaves me feeling energised afterwards :T Booo to the expensive laptop repair costs though!

Glad OH liked his bits Cinny - is Watchmen one of those comic films? I think next on our list is Gran Torino, looks a bit violent but I do like Clint and have heard good reports.

    Coffee exercises...

Argh! I just wrote a really long reply and it didn't post!

    Right, lets try again!

Poddle, thanks for the Waterstones tip, Harrogate is 20 minutes away from me so it's easy to pop through, I may go this weekend and see what they've got there book club-wise!

Dinah, we're the same size at the moment (I'm just shy of 5'7") but I'll never be able to get down to under 9st! My body clings onto fat once I get to 9 1/2st! Good work getting the cost of the repair down, you're right to think that £4 isn't worth voiding the warranty!

Lara, I've got to say I'm not mad on the name Rory, but he might suit it? My cousin had a baby last year and called him Finlay, my Dad still can't speak the 'stupid bloody name' without grimacing! I'm tempted to call my kids something really obscure and crazy to see how he reacts! LOL!

Glad yesterday was good Cinny! And you've got more fun planned tonight! It seems like a lot of us ar in the same boat, lacking good girl friends, it's nice to know I'm not the only one! :o

OH banked my cheque yesterday so I should be able to pay for my glasses and pay off my 'little' credit card with it. Yay! He's such a star, I got home yesterday and he'd sorted the spare room completely, it had been full of rubbish from the flooded cupboard fiasco and now you can lie starfish on the floor! He's also set up the desk with a mirror and my straighteners and make up so I have somewhere to get ready, and all my craft stuff is next to it so I have somewhere to work. It really made my day! :T

I think it is, to be fair I don't have a clue what it's about but OHs birthday treat = boy movie. My brother has seen Gran Torino and loved it, can't say it's really my thing though!

I've only done pilates once, I don't think I can even count it actually. More like lying on the floor in pain/fits of giggles than anything. Yoga does look nice (is it yoga?) were they put a blankie on you at the end? I have to say, I'm much more up for coffee exercises.

Feeling really spring-y today. All in florals, stone washed jeans and floaty cardies! Hope the weather stays sunny.

Aw Birdie your OH sounds a sweetie doing that for you! Speaking of baby names, my cousin had a baby the other day (just found out!) and called her Mae - I love the name but it's very popular it the minute and I don't like the idea of giving my child a popular name. When I'm pregnant I think I'll go through the Top 50 Baby Names lists for the previous 10 years and veto them all! I'm Lucy and it's not an unusual name, but I've never known anyone else called it and I love that.

I've never been given a blanket in yoga Cinny, just told to lie down and think of my chakras, all a bit woolly for me! Your talk of florals and jeans has made me want to go shopping!
