I absolutely love the dress and shoes. That kicks the first one out of the water. Love it, love it, love it!

What do you think of it yourself?

I do like it more each time I see it! I really like the detail of the fabric wrapping around it, will take a little emphasis away from my hips and show off my waist. It doesn't look like I need big boobs either as the detail on the bust will make up for lack of cleavage!

I love the shoes, I really wanted some Christian Louboutin (love the red soles!) but I had a look on the site and nothing struck my fancy so I had to 'settle' for Jimmy Choo! There's a whole section of bridal shoes to choose from so I should be able to find something to match whatever dress I go for. I hope Mummy will be nice and buy them for me as she's a big shoe lover and lives vicariously through me as she thinks she's too old for Jimmy Choos!

You're a very clever girl Cinny, making a posh cake for OH! I can barely bake a decent cake, never mind decorate it!

Having to 'settle' for Jimmy Choos?! You pour soul! :D If my mum was buying my wedding shoes I'd end up in Crocs!

It's not really posh, just a Victoria Sponge with ready to roll icing on top, then painting on top using a colouring paste. Never done it before so I'm hoping it's as easy as it sounds. Nothing says Happy Birthday than a Hit Man on your cake!

    Hi Everyone

Cake sounds great Cinny - will you post us some pics when you're done?

Sorry to hear about your bath Birdie - the same happened to my sister in her new place. Hope you get the cash for new carpet etc.

My interview got canned today as my tutor has come down with the flu. Bummer. I was all dressed up and ready to go! OH also got his big meeting cancelled for the third time so we are moping a bit. But it's a gorgeous day here, with big blue sky - feels like spring is coming at last.

On a better note, the tutor from Lancaster got back. She's in the US for the next few months, but I am hoping she will give me the ok to apply. Isn't the Internet great?

The internet is fantastic Lara! Have they given you a new date for your interview though? At least you can make the most of todays good weather- I heard it's meant to snow tonight?

I'll post pictures if it turns out well. I can't go wrong with a stencil, right?

    Famous last words!

Sorry to hear about your interview Lara, I hope it's rescheduled soon! Enjoy the weather, I really wish I was out right now! I don't like taking time off work as it makes me feel really miserable when I get back! Especially knowing that OH is at home 'resting his leg', I'm counting on getting back to find that he's just been sat playing his xbox all day!

On a plus side; I've found some glasses I want and I'm getting Boots discount on them thanks to Mum! They're green Miu Miu ones and the only ones I've seen for ages that I actually like as much/more than the ones I've got now! I'm going after work to find out how much it'll all cost and get them ordered. It will be nice to have some glasses that aren't all loose and need constant adjusting, with stratch free lenses! :T

Sorry to hear about the interview Lara, hopefully it will be rearranged soon.

I know he'll be missing me, he gets really mopey, I just wish I'd heard from him so I know he's not going through too tough a time.

Loads of MS for one company just came up, hundreds across the country, so I signed NIM up for 11, covering County Durham and touching on the bottom of Northumberland for a day in two weeks time. They're all daytime so I can't do them, but is £99 back, taking off petrol will still be an easy £70 for a days work. Going to try to get him a few for the next few weeks.
    Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81
    Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off
    Met NIM 23/06/2008

That's a really good MS haul! I'm going to have to join up to more MS companies, the one I'm with hasn't had anything local to me for ages!

Hope NIM gets in touch soon, he's probably not had a chance what with everything going on.

Lol reading the MS thread, ROTE and Poddle are on there now too, gradually this threads members seem to be dipping in over there!

Yeah chuffed with that MS haul tbh, although not sure if NIM will be, think he will he's a bit of an explorer, it's a canny drive to get to all of them, so he'll have to be up early. Hope it's a nice day, he's going up to a load of County Durham little villages so he'll get to know the area a bit better, however Shildon in the rain is enough to make him run back to Ireland!

Finally hit £40 on onepoll, so that's winging its way to my bank account as we speak.

Are you a witch?! I thought reaching the £40 payout point was impossible!

Decided to blot out the details of the stencil and just do the silhouettes, think it will work?

The MS look they'll be a good little earner as well as getting NIM used to the around areas, like you said. Hopefully he'll be up for it!

Hi all, been off in a meeting all morning (Stanley, hope poor NIM doesn't have to go there as well, not v nice by all accounts, though looks OK to me!) just got beck to work and not feeling like it at all, if I'd been a bit later I'd have gone straight home.

Very much skint after my weekend spends and my savings SO have gone out. Waiting for Quidco and SO to hit my savings account then will update my sig. Never gonna make it to £2600 by April, but will have £2000 for the ISA, then will start saving again, this time I want to have £1500 in case of needing a new car at it's MOT in August. That'll mean saving £300 per month, which is £100 per month more than I save now...

Hope NIM gets in touch soon, maybe he just wants to be able to set aside a time when he can have a good long talk and he's just not able to during the day? I think you're being very wise about Venice TBH, and at least you have Egypt to look forward to. There are always bargains to be had.

Birdie, I still like the first one. Glad you're happy in the house and hopefully that leak was just a one off and it's not going to be like The Money Pit where the stairs collapse and everything!

Cinny, a new bed! Ooh! At least you can look at it as an investment though, it's all good. You'll have to take a pic of the cake when it's done to show us!

Lara, what a shame about the interview after you were all psyched up, hopefully it'll be rearranged soon!

Eek, quarter to three and I've not done a thing yet!
