Oh no Dinah, so sorry to hear about NIM Granda, that's very sad news. Do send my best to him.
Cinny - the job sounds far more glamorous than the reality, 10 hours a day standing on a trade stand near CDG airport is super boring - may as well be in the NEC apart from a couple of nice dinners! You will have a fab career, and plenty of time for travel - also just realised I am nearly 10 years older than you  Also have started to get loads of grey hairs.
You're so sorted and have a lovely future to look forward to!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
NIMs gone back to Ireland. Already miss him, seems wierd him being back there after being used to him here so much! Don't have anywhere near as much bounce as I do when he's about, had kind of forgotten this empty feeling I get when he's not about.
Went for lunch with mum and grannie, to swap the shirt NIM got me for one that fits, and to spend my two £5 No7 vouchers and to do a MS. Disaster! MS had a 30 min wait, so I came back after 30 mins and was told even though my name was on the list, it was now up to 45mins! Very much doubt I'll be paid for that, which is awful as it's their own fault for only manning half the desks! Swapped the shirt, but ended up getting two dresses in the sale too, and a bikini since none of those other ones fitted. Expensive trip!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Aww don't worry rote - it happens to us all at some point. My last time was last year on my N. Irish account - £34!!!! Have a nice cup of tea and let it all wash over you.
So big interview tomorrow with a potential supervisor in London. I am split excited / terrified at the moment. The lady from Lancaster got back too which is a big relief. I hope it all goes well and I can get on with the business of applying, and funding.
Today I was good and OH and I took photos of the Swarovski crystals so will be listing those beauties on ebay this week. Hopefully I will get some cash for them. Got enough money to pay the rent and bills in March, and OH says he will cover the rest, which is realistically around £300.
Then I should get a wage at the end of March that will just cover April. It's weird taking money from OH, even though we have a joint account now. I like being an independent lady.
SO I need to make around £350 - £400 extra per month from May onwards to be able pay for fees, laptop and a small holiday. I'm really excited! Hope everyone's had a fab weekend!

Hello everyone, so sorry for NIM, not the best circumstances for his first trip back home. He'll soon be back though Dinah and you'll get your bounce back! Am I missing something on where all that money's come from in the house deposit? I'm sure on Friday it was standing at about £150...
Ugh, I've had a fab weekend with my girlies up to stay, but it's been a very spendy weekend... £60 remainder of balance on my new specs, and on Saturday I discovered we now have an Office in Middlesbrough, which is possibly the best thing to have happened since I moved out of Newcastle (from a shopping point of view), and I got so excited that I bought some red heels with bows on - another £54 (thank god for NUS). So over £100 and that's before you count all the little things - false eyelashes, curry, drinks, taxis and Sunday dinner out today. So that's it, I can't spend any more money this month. And it's only the 1st!
Hoping for a relaxing night now I've got rid of the rabble, might do some dooyooing as I'm behind on my £10 a month target.
Good luck for tomorrow Lara, let us know how you get on!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I did, but you can't deposit lump sums, and I have a full £3600 to put in. It's capped at £300 a month, so a bit useless for me for this year. If it's still there for April though think I will take it out. x
You were llowed to put the year as 2009/2010 so opening now ready to save in April
Hope your all ok

Looks like we've all been spending this weekend. But I'll take it a level higher by saying I bought a new bed  Along with goodies from boots, CDs, new bedding, jokey gifts for OHs birthday and things to make his cake with. Planning on making him a pulp fiction cake, printing off a stencil of Jules at some point today.
Sounds like a pain with the MS Dinah, if you're still writing the report you should get paid, right? Not a clue how MS works though! Just noticed your house deposit total go up too. Well done! Hope you're feeling less sad today.
Fingers and toes crossed for you Lara!
No posts from Birdie so I'm guessing she's enjoying domestic bliss!0 -
Morning all.
Yep I've always turned to shopping to cheer myself up. Just when NIM is here I'm too busy to have a chance! I'd love to think one day I will be able to go shopping again and not have to worry about what I spend, but I doubt it somehow! Still need to get some shorts and sunglasses for Egypt. Think we're going to hold off on venice, despite the crazy bargain, until NIM has another job as at the moment it's just coming out the savings.
House total was about £560 on Friday Tete, but basically my ISA is now house deposit money instead of being withdrawn to pay off the CC2. So all house deposit totals are joint with NIM. It will go up again a bit in a week or two when his ISA opens and money goes in. Then it'll become a much slower process.
I think that 7% ISA might be a good choice if it's for next year. We can have that for regular savings, and NIMs ISA for overflow savings.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
