Ooooh why does he have tea with the major?!

I know because todays lunch was home cooked by tesco's lighter choices range! 185cals per potato, 40 for the soup, and 85 for the fruit salad.

  • Just to celebrate Durham Council going unitary, apparently it's a bit of a big thing and his boss says it's mandatory but he really doesn't want to go. He has a way of wrapping people around his fingers though so he may yet get out of it. Shh, but I'd be quite happy to have the evening to myself ahead of the weekend's madness :o

Our deposit isn't going badly, scarily it's what a couple of friends had as their entire deposit when they bought in November 2007 - around £5k.

NIM has gone to take the car for an MOT, which is being paid for by dad as he offered to do it as part of the sale, and any resulting issues. So I have around 5 hours to myself. NIM has told me to relax, but I find that very hard. So I'm going to apply for his ISA, and see if I can transfer mine somewhere which offers a bit more interest. Then I might 'relax' for a short while, not sure what I'll do though!

NIMs grandad sadly died this morning, so he's going back to Ireland. He's holding it together okay, but I feel awful I can't go with him. Don't know if he'll see his dad while he's over there, unfortunately I don't think this is enough to calm their anger towards one another.

Sorry to hear about NIMs Grandpa. Send a dodgy looking hug his way, even if he doesn't want it.:grouphug:

Having a pretty nice weekend so far - OH treat me to a meal out and the cinema and is now asleep after being dragged around the Workhouse, we got taken on a free guided tour too which is a bonus in itself. I'll catch up properly on Monday, just a fleeting visit which OH snores!

So sorry to hear about NIMs grandad, how awful for him.

On better news your house deposit is going great, considering you have only just started saving!! I hope once OH and i start saving we will be able to save quite quickly aswell! Realistically i think we will need about £25,000, but obviously it partly depends what the house prices do!
