Sorry to hear about Nim's grandad. It must have been an awful shock to him. At least he was able to get home straight away. That will be a relief to him.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks for your kind words everyone. NIM seems to be holding up okay, he's upset as is to be expected, but his grandad had cancer for a long time, and from the sounds of it he was ready to go, and NIM seems to take some comfort in this.
Glad you're having a nice weekend girls.
In other news, been doing a bit of deal hunting for Venice in June, have managed to get it down to £296 each, in a 4* for 7 nights in a hotel in Mestre, 8 mins from venice via 1euro train. Think it would be mad not to!
Couldn't swap my ISA today, as it's a print out and post form so will have to do that next week. Have decided to go with the M & S one as it is backed by HSBC and the rate isn't uncertain unlike the RBS/Natwest one.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Do you know how long NIM will be in Ireland for? It must be hard for him going back under such horrible circumstances.
Do you have any other plans for the weekend?
Wow £296 is bargain!! Where have you found that? I am hoping that OH and i will go away for my 21st so will need to start looking for somewhere cheap!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
You only have to do the tutorials for each company once, a lot of companies don't have a tutorial as such, just 5 screener questions. The search system is dire, you have to look for any individual towns/villages/motorway junctions etc near you!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I did, but you can't deposit lump sums, and I have a full £3600 to put in. It's capped at £300 a month, so a bit useless for me for this year. If it's still there for April though think I will take it out. xDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Best thing to do ROTE is to go to the up your income board and subscribe to the alerts only MS thread, then it emails you immediately when new jobs are released. I don;t know what companies you are with, RE jobs tend to go in mins but there are some great clients, national chains of spanish restaurants, pet shops, lots of types of meal pubs, clubs, phone calls etc. Gap cover almost all the fast food places, and have a major pizza chain who also pay for you to do their competitors, so thats the other major pizza chain, a chicken place, an american italian place and a plain american place, lots of great meals. They also do bookies, cafes, stamp places and petrol places. Problem is the best paid jobs or the ones for the best places to eat really do go so quickly, unless you're in an area with few shoppers, you might struggle to get good jobs. I had 7 jobs for gap this week (had to cancel 3 as were today and needed to be wih NIM) so it is possible to get work from them. They tend to release new jobs late evening too, 10pm-12pm-ish, which is good for people who can't sit on their email account all day watching for emails.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
