Maybe all little girls have the same dream house? Double fronted, looks a bit like a dolls house? And that's why there are none of them about, the lucky women who manage to get one hang on to them till they die - then their daughter moves in!
My favourite book has to be 'I capture the castle' by Dodie Smith, kind of a modern classic in my mind. Written in 1948 with the imortal first line 'I write this sitting in the kitchen sink'. Plus she lives in a castle, not quite the dream house but the 1930s carefree lifestyle seen through the innocent eyes of the youngest daughter is kind of like sinking into a warm bath nicely contained in literary form. Feeling such an urge to go home and read it now... it's the only book I made sure came with me to the house instead of going in the shed.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Convert the garage? For the studio not the nursery before people think I'm as mean to babies as I appear to be to rabbits!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Yep it's fantastic, and to be honest little and often seems to be the only way I can actually pay it all off. I know 'technically' I have quite a lot of disposable income each month, but I don't dare just slap £600 into the ISA on payday, so I wait and transfer whatever is left at the end of the month, or anything that comes in from other sources before then goes straight in so it doesn't get eaten up by random stuff.
Filled my car with petrol today and it was less than £60 for the first time in memory! :TDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That book is wonderful! It's so sad how she falls inlove with Simon, I hated Rose at that part! I got my copy from oxfam for 50p i think, my Grandma has stolen it from me for the moment. Come to think of it, that's a book I would happily read again. The movie was a let down, i'm glad I read the book first because all the important links in people seem to be left out (also I would no way of chosen Tara Fitzgerald to be my Topaz!) that book made me start a journal in vain... i forgot how much i loved that book (and I only read it abit ago!)
Dinah - I just read that asda have lowered their petrol to 92.something-p! It'll only cost me about £4 to fill my vespa up now!0 -

£4  Don't make me jealous! But then it takes me an hour to get to work, not sure I fancy two hours a day exposed to the elements in this weather!
I know, the film was majorly disappointing, but then I think that it's often the case that you can't convey the nuances from a book to the screen.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
