I have a 37 hour a week job but definitely no chance of overtime, not enough to to when im already there! So I'm on the whole mystery shopping, ebaying, amazon-ing, quidco, surveys etc bandwagon. Was secretly crossing my fingers for some nice treats from competitions this year, but over 7000 entries later I have won one box of seeds and that is all!

Feeling a bit more upbeat today, OH will be back in 9 days, getting closer! ...

I was suprised to be honest how many people seem to be reading the thread

Hi Dinah, you really do see your OH quite often considering don't you, seems like you're only just getting over him going back and you're on the countdown again! And that'll soon fly in given all the debt-busting you're doing.

I think your thread is a nice one to read because you have a specific aim and seem to be making progress every day so it's quite dynamic, and you're articulate and honset and funny, and eveyone loves a good love story! And now I know you're local I take an extra interest, though I have to say I'm a Northumbria girl myself (and it's actually a very good university for lots of courses you know!!)

Loved that about the box of seeds - were they at least veggie seeds so you might save a bit on your shopping bills? I had a go at comping myself for a while there, trying for holidays mainly, and I can't believe some people's sigs listing all the things they've won- they must be at it literally all day.

Lol would be great if I had a garden! Live with my parents at the moment, and while they have a very big garden they also have two school rabbits every weekend and I think they'd just eat the veg! Think I'm going to try rituals, taping 4 leaf clovers to my laptop and waving a lucky rabbit foot at the postman or something see if that gets me more wins. Alternatively he might think I'm doing voodoo and stop bringing my mail....

We see one another every other weekend, we tried to go 3 weeks once as OH had final exams, it got to the point where he was looking at coming over for a single day as we were finding it so hard! We swore never to try to do that again.

I have to believe Northumbria have good courses, since my brother has applied there and looks like that is now top choice for OH's LPC course. But they also agreed to take in my braindead ex, so then unfortunately they've slipped again in my opinion :p

I like to update at least once a day, keeps me motivated, I'm doing so much better now I'm writing this than I was on my own as I don't want to let you guys down! Going home and will start listing more items on ebay about 8pm. Given I stay up till about 11.30, how many would be a good target of ebay items to aim to list? Need to photograph them too and I need to wrap 11 packages to post, so I'm thinking I might try to aim for 20 ebay items tonight.

Congrats H2BDF that's fantastic! You seem to have amazing luck at the moment.

Just make sure you wear light shoes tomorrow, in fact, little sundress and all, pretend that you thought there was an unseasonal heatwave due ;) I got weighed in at the hospital last time I went for my blood pressure appointment thingy, the nurse tutted at me that I had put on 5lb - I pointed out I had a shirt, a jumper, a fleece, a waterproof and steel soled safety walking boots on, when I last came it was summer and I wore a lot less! She told me everyone says that! (Really? Everyone says their shoes have steel soles?!) I know my BMI is slightly on the low side for my height though (I'm 5ft 7 and 9 1/2 stone) so I think she just likes making people feel guilty, simple pleasures and all that!

Dinah, (feels weird calling a person that, my little kitten is called Dinah!) are you on slice the pie? I don't know if I've read that you're on it or not but basically you listen to music and rate it for 3p a track. It's really easy but takes awhile for it to mount up. (I've got one playing in the background as i write this actually!!)

Only 9 days till you see your beloved again? (nearly 8!) It'll fly by :)
  • im the same height as you yipeee i want to weight 10 stone :D im cureently 11.9 :D 4 more pounds il be at my first stone so yipeeeeeeeeee yes we intend to get 3k in savings before xmas :D then i intend to use some surplus on my egg card to pay it off before the wedding just so i feel like im doing some debt tackling :D xx

Used to do slice the pie, quit when I got downgraded from 3 stars to 2 despite having over 85% accuracy. Wish I knew why! But you're right, so I'm now doing it in the background while doing this and then my ebay listings for the night.

Not that far too go H2BDF, and just think of how amazing you will look on your wedding photos, or laid out in a skimpy bikini on your honeymoon. I notice you've added your ebay sale to start your wedding fund, thats a great idea, I find it so encouraging just transferring the little amounts to my ISA account (might take it over £1000 this week, seems no time since I opened it!) and seeing it mount up.
