Yep, there is a course at Northumbria, which is actually slightly closer than the one at York, it's just not as good. So he's going to apply there, and to the two in leeds although that would be an awful commute each day!
Posted the parcels though.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Feeling a little more upbeat, have been in a meeting this afternoon and now I've come out I've checked my emails and I've sold a game, a book, two dvds, a guitar tuner on ebay and an echeck from 2 weeks ago finally cleared. So that's a nice £20 made.
Had a bit of a chat with OH at lunchtime, guess this doesn't affect plans too much, he still needs to look for jobs, it just makes work experience more important in order to sell himself on the other side of the course.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Transfered another £18 into the ISA from my paypal account as I paid my ebay fees out of it, but I still want my profits to hit my account. Have sold a total of 7 items on amazon today, in addition to the one on ebay and the one ebay payment that finally cleared. Been a decent day moneymaking-wise, also did a few surveys. Just a shame it's been such a rubbish day OH-career-wise.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hi Dinah,
Glad things are looking up a little bit since this morning. I am sure it will all work out for OH in the end. I am a firm believer is 'what is for you, won't pass you'.
Money wise you are doing great!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Good morning, that's a shame about your OH's course but I like what Clearmydebts said, I'm a bit of a believer in 'things happen for a reason' myself. Sounds like you're not far from me then if Newcastle's slightly closer than York (I'm in Teesside) - I was always under the impression Northumbria was quite good for Law - is it the conversion thing he's doing?
You're doing great on the selling - coming out of a meeting and having sold 5 things! Not bad for an afternoon. More of the same today for you hopefully, have a good one!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
hiya!
you certainly are doing well moeny wise, selling and posting all of the time it seems!
sorry about your OH career but itll work out. these things are set to try us! xxx0 -
Hiya Dinah! I've been lurking on your diary for a while, it's really inspiring
Is it the LPC or GDL your OH is looking into doing? I want to do my BVC/LPC (when I choose which one!!) at Northumbria as well to be near my OH. The law firms I have talked to would probably prefer a London one (as I want to do commericial) but quite a lot aren't particularly fussed about which law school you do your LPC at; I think it's one of those things where you just have to get the qualification and it doesn't especially matter where it's from. So don't worry about itLive on £4000 a Year Challenge member

Spent the morning starting on the Quidco free offers list, which will be £31.50 if it all tracks, and I'm only up to F!
Where are these? I can't find them for the life of me!
Just started reading your journal, you've done so well! I know how you must feel about not seeing your OH. I only see my boyfriend at the weekends (we're both working during the week and he normally works saturday afternoon too) the thing I have to focus on is that we're trying to get our careers in order so one day we can move in together (building a future, whatever you want to call it!) It is kind of heartbreaking at times but absence makes the heart grow fonder! Good luck with clearing the end of your debts. You've given me the boost I need to get going to make some more money0
