Surely you could haggle it down a little if it's too high? It's at least worth a try anyways, as my Dad says 'there's nothing that can't be haggled' but I've yet to see him haggling in Asda.

Thanks Dinah, I'll get there in the end!

Indeed! :rotfl: I need to tone my tummy then I'll be as happy as larry, saying that I lost 3 pounds last week. No idea how.

My Grandad has just come in and asked about my savings account, told me to stop spending all the time and I'll be able to do it. The shame Grandads put on you!

Nothing is wrong with 12s, except all my clothes are 8s and I have to wear jumpers over my shirts to keep from flashing! Not to mention hardly any of my trousers go on anymore. Went into town the other day and the bending and carrying stuff caused all the buttons on my blouse to pop off!

OH is on orders to haggle. In an ideal world we want to get it down to £950 for the year, with the £300 each saks vouchers, and anything else we can wrangle. Might have to direct him to Martin's haggling down gym membership article before we go out tonight. It's £62 for one person, but there is no way we're accepting over £100 for both of us per month. God if we can't get it below that I will cry, really really want to join!

Good luck haggling Dinah! I'll have to read the article and take hints, BF wants me join the gym with him to keep him company when he's working on getting fit/ rehab on his knee. I'm not much of a gym bunny though, I may stick to the dance classes and spa!

I only go to Belly Dancing as my SIL made me sign up with her, it's a 10 week course at my old school so I'll be back to my lethargic self when it's finished!

I'm sorry but I LOL at the buttons popping off your blouse! :rotfl: It'll be happening to me soon though, I was a happy size 10 but now creeping back up to 12. I know what I have to do to beat the battle of the bulge but I'm too addicted to chocolate!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I bet you'll have no problem getting the price down if you're joining together. A lot of people have been cancelling their gym memberships with the credit crunch so I'd think they were wanting people to join, might be why they were throwing all those vouchers at you!

I'll have to get back into some kind of exercise routine, planned to get back into the treadmill and book/iPod/Telly this week planning to be back to part time. I have cut out all my snacking and fizzy drinks so that's got to be doing me some good alone.

I get really, really depressed when I don't feel 'myself' physically, I want to get back to how I feel I should be as it makes a huge impact on my self-confidence. I can't say I particularly enjoy the gym either, but I do like some of the classes. The gym is okay if you can find a machine in front of an episode of friends or something!

Thankfully my dressing style easily covers any unwanted wobbley bits! High waisted skirts ect. Or not so thankfully as they go un noticed until I want to wear jeans.

My Dad watches Emmerdale in the morning while he's at the gym, he fessed up after I commented how he never lets us watch it at night anymore.

Just found out OH's valentines prezzie is at home so I can set about wrapping that tonight. Been cheeky and it's only cost me £6 altogether.

I get them if I join the gym, it's like offering a carrot to the hippos for joining.
