Quick update from me as I'm utterly shattered, OH is back, here for good and it's fantastic. Spent all day today tidying my room to fit him in, then baking for work. Haven't sat down and now need to sleep. Will update tomorrow have actually had a very exciting weekend, although again it got away from me and the moneymaking isn't going very quickly, much to my dispair, although OH and I have had a few money talks and budget decisions. See you in the morning x

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to NIM moving to England! :j Bet you're out of your head excited!

Feeling under the weather today, got a cold I think. Waiting for all the time sheets to come in so I'm editing some photos of me and OH for my scrapbooks. Got some amazing wool yesterday - 500g for £5! - all hand spun hand dyed stuff, afew knitting patterns to spruce up my wardrobe in time for summer and went a bit crazed on the £1 craft stall, managed to find some lovely Laura Ashley scrap booking things as well as much needed glue and new scissors. Spent £20 in all with dinner, and managed to read most of my book on the bus.

Well done on your laps Tete :T a clap from me as well!

Now, off to search for the day nurse bottle.

    *edit*
Just got a call from the other office lady, going to be in all this week again as her son's op was a bit more complicated than planned, poor thing can only eat jelly and custard! Hoping I'll still be able to get wednesday morning off for my specs.
  • Morning all,

Grr. I was at the docs this morning so late coming in, and 'they' have dug up all my routes to work so even at 9.30 traffic was at a standstill  I can see the only solution is going to be to come in really early until it's all finished which is a depressing thought. Never mind - have coffee, am calm.

That's fab about NIM, I bet you're prodding him all the time just to check he's real! So have you made any plans about where he'll be staying - is he just at your parents' for the interim? When does he start his job? Loved the little party Flower!

Cinny I think £20 for all that and food is grand, well done! And it'll keep you out of mischief too! Will you be earning more if you're in all week then? Hope you feel better soon!

Who are you on Dooyoo GiSi? I'll have to get reading your 'work'!

I'm hoping it does! Got to watch lots of demonstrations, one of a 'non drawing landscape' after every stage she'd go 'and I haven't used a pencil yet!' I did have to agree, she hadn't, but then she was painting the landscape.

A rse about the roadworks, they have to be the worst. On the bright side you could always download an audiobook to listen to on the drive there?

With 90% of my money in savings I'm starting to feel a hell of a lot 'poorer' than I am! Budgeting like mad.

    Good morning ladies!

Flower - WHAT a cool party, LOL! Can't wait to hear how it all went Dinah - hope it all goes super smoothly now and you two get to enjoy some lovely time together with no time limit.

Tete - a big clap from me too on your swimming - well done!

And Cinny your savings are looking amazing. All the hard work is paying off.

Things are ok here, getting a bit stressed about phd proposal as time is running out a bit. Everything has to be signed and sealed in March. I wrote a first draft yesterday which is a bit rubbish but it's nice to have started.

On the money front I have got just enough to pay for Feb living, but not that much for March never mind April!

From my old work to be paid - £150
    From my OH - £75
I still need £145 to make rent and bills. I've got an overdraft and could take money from my ISA. But I *really* don't want to do that. So I better look at matched betting and ebaying.

I made the appointment to go and see the work experience peeps on Friday at lunch. But no more news yet from the p/t people.

    Feeling a bit

  • Haha, that's it Cinny, once it's in savings it's untouchable!!

Nice idea about the audiobook, I haven't ever actually tried them and don't know how I'd follow the story. But the problem is, when my battery died in December, it cut off the power to my radio-casette player (very old car!) and I was a bit over-zealous just punching in any old code and now I've been locked out. So it's a very boring quiet drive! I tried putting my ipod on quietly but I'm scared in case I can't actually hear as well as normal, and also in case I'm seen by the police as I'm not sure if it's illegal or just frowned upon! Keep meaning to try cutting the battery again to see if that resets it so I can punch in a code - because of course I've found it now! OH keeps saying he's got a load of old car radios in the shed and will put one in for me, but somehow it never seems to happen!

Oh Lara, I'm sure it'll all turn out ok in the end!!! Are you working at all at the minute? (Sorry I have trouble keeping track of who's who!) - it's hard when you have a student loan or whatever coming in once a term and then nothing til the next one.

OH drives with his ipod on and hasn't had any problems! He only uses one plug though, i think. If you have a portable radio you could always take that, when we use our hillman imp in the summer I lug my bush radio along for car journeys!

Does using an amazon voucher, so not technically spending a single penny, cancel out a NSD? Just bought Bright Young People but kicking myself now!

Been tempted to move some out of the savings just to cover my back - but I think I'll be okay, plus I don't want my interest rate to go down - still got £30 in my purse so I can always pay cash for my test then card for my specs on wednesday.

Lara - I'm sure you'll be able to pull that extra money out from somewhere, And good luck for the meeting on friday!
