The ultimate incentive to get debt free, can I do it by New Years?

Neither of us are with orange unfortunately, is there a minimum ammount per month you need to top up their sims by? If not might be worth getting one just for the cinema and pizza express (is the cinema thing still going?). That's a good idea Tete.
We've agreed if I get an MS I take it, as free date night. This week we have a 50% off voucher for La Tasca, really really want to go as I love it there, should come in at under the £25 too. And have a Pizza Express voucher to cover next week. We figure going to the gym is a one off cost and it'll be 'free' entertainment, in that we pay for it, we might as well use it rather than go spend more elsewhere. NIM seems to be getting really into the idea of getting fit after an initially hesitant start, he's big on swimming, and he's pondering asking my dad to coach him in cycling (he has no idea what he's getting in for if he does, he'll be thin as a whippet and have thighs like steal within a few weeks!). Dad used to be a pro cyclist, and was 11 stone on his wedding day (quite impressive at 6ft 1) and was selected for the olympic team before he had an accident, so he's very enthusiastic and I know he'd love it if OH got into and was commited to it. Plus the only sport I like watching is cycling so I'd be chuffed too!
Dad and I packed a tent and went and followed the tour de France for 3 weeks a few years ago, would love to do it again, cost us under £300 for the 3 weeks, mostly petrol, doubt I could pursuade NIM tho!
Yeah would have to be a stealth photo, NIM wouldn't be keen on having his naked Irish bits plastered all over the net!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Yey, just got a £5/£10.50 MS phone call for tonight, depending on if I get a call back, and a £10 MS for tomorrow lunchtime for a bank. MS is almost forgotten about as my constant trickle of extra income now, this week is lining up quite well, have a £10 supermarket on Thursday too. Just wish we could get a few meals!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Do, get and Orange SIM, I use my old one as I went to O2 in November and have only topped my Orange one up by £5 since then. They give you little bonuses if you top up £10 a month or something, like an extra £4 credit, butI don't think you're penalised for not topping up. I think almost every cinema takes part, Teesside Pk and Middlesbrough definitely do. What about Pizza Express - do they have some kind of Orange tie-in as well? Although OH refuses to go there, the pizzas are too small for him!
Mmm, I love tapas too, though I prefer El Torrero in Newc to La Tasca. Where's the nearest, Durham? I think I have a voucher too, but don't know when we'll get chance to go...
11 stone!! Yikes, I weigh more than that! How depressing! Getting into the swimming though now that I have something to aim for with it, and can already see a difference in my stomach (after two sessions!)
*edit* Ooh, and remember to top up in Boots for the pointsWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
oooh loving the Boots tip! Teesside Park is where we tend to go, so it's good they're involved. I thought I read that Orange Wed now covered pizza express two for one with a free starter? *edit* yes checked, it's on this site's restarants section. That's be good for us, pizza AND a film within our £25 date night, impressive.
Haven't been to El Torrero, is that the one on (urgh not Grey Street, the bit after that is very very steep and heading down to the Quayside). Yup nearest one is Durham, loved it last time, although wasn't entirely filled, but with the voucher could get a fair bit more and pay less! Voucher is only valid until Thursday that I have anyway, so we're talking about going on Wednesday, and that'll be the date night for this week.
That's impressive that you can see a difference already, I'm so impatient, want to do an hours exercise and be half a stone lighter with a 22" waist and keep the 36" bust immediately!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I think it's just called 'Side', go all the way down Grey St, it turns into Dean St is that what you're thinking of?, then head sort of back on yourself up the very steep cobbled hill. You come to Bar M at the very top I think, if it still exists! I love it, loads better than La Tasca, and cheaper too, though not with your voucher. OH was going to take me for my bday on Thurs but it's a bit far for a week night so I think we're going to The White Hart in Hart Village instead - ever been? It's LOVELY and last time we were there there was this little cat that kept creeping in to see its owner at the bar, made my night!
22" waist - eeks!, I'll be happy just to fit easily into my 12s and not have red marks when I take them off. Might come with Popeye-esque shoulders though if I'm not careful!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Lol my mum's waist was 21inches when she was married (21 though so a canny bit younger than me) but she still had a 36" chest. I have a very hourglass figure when I loose a little weight like she did at my age.
Nope haven't been, is it expensive? More to the point, do they do deals?!
NIM says he should be able to do 9 hours a day at the call center, 5 days a week, which would be great as that's £284 a week before tax, so should be able to save a heck of a lot. I'm begginning to vear towards his way of thinking, we love our date night, so keeping it and just doing it midweek and only one a week on a £25 budget.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Nope it's fairly cheap I seem to remember, when I go with three friends we can usually get a couple of bottles of wine and a good fill of food for about £13 each... http://www.eltorero.co.uk/
(looks like I spelt torero wrong, oops - so much for my degree!) They do set menus but they're not deals especially I don't think. There's also El Coto, their sister, but I've not tried them.
That's not bad for a call centre, especially if he's living at your parents', you'll have a load of savings in no time! I'm off in a sec, going to the pool again but I know it's going to be full of after-work swimmers so not very appealing. you know, the kind of - women, mostly - who just bob along in rows of three gossiping away and getting in my way, I'm getting annoyed just thinking about it! But I have my target now so will go!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Could you not swim a bit later?
