It went really well, two of the team leaders commented on how quick he picked up on things and that they want him on their team, and it sounds like lots of extra hours are available. That said he's still hopefull on the supply teacher front, which is a much more interesting prospect.

Just seen it's 8pm already - grrr need to start the to do list!

That sounds good, glad he got on okay.

Was going to ask you, i know you have mentioned that you do MS quite a bit. I am pretty interested in giving it a go, are there any companies you would recommend? And also do you have to register for tax if you are doing it? I am sure i read somewhere you do, but if your not doing many jobs surely not??
    Thank you in advance!!

I try to stick as much as I can to jobs that are just a refund for items purchased, such as meals, and therefore you don't pay tax on. I haven't paid any yet as I only started a few months ago, and it won't be due until this time next year. I would say most people don't bother to be honest. I use 4 companies, my favourite are Retail Eyes (PM me for a referal, I get a couple of quid when you do your first job), but they've had less jobs than usual this year, GAPbuster, GFK and grassroots, who rarely have jobs but pay well and have simple reports.

Thanks for that Dinah, i will have a look at the websites. I think the meals and ones like that are the ones i would be most interested in doing. I will definatly PM you if i join retail eyes - anything to help a fellow moneysaver!! Thanks for the info.
Good luck with getting your list done!

Could you not swim a bit later?

No I meant White Hart not the Newcastle place, it's a bit far too be sensible.

Haha, yes that occurred to me in the pool when I had a minute to think! Well the White Hart is pub food, not the cheapest but then it's not a wetherspooons either. You'll be hard pushed to book a table in the restaurant part even a week in advance, but there's a little snug bar area with a log fire where they serve food and you don't need to book. I think last time I paid we had drinks (inc large wine for me!), main courses and two sides and it only came to about £22 - and the food's lovely.

Pool was a horrible ordeal, full of kids, and I know they're only kids, but they have no awareness of the people around them when they're jumping about and throwing things. Then about five big 18 year old lads got in and started arsing on and I couldn't take it any more. Forced myself to get to 20 lengths then got out. It's annoying because I feel I've wasted my £2.50. I don't reallylike going ater as it seems to take up too much of the evening but I think I will be in future.

Sounds good about NIM's job, hope the people are nice-that's the most important thing. Right I'm off to relax with my book... *yawn*

I'm afraid this is why I'm prepared to pay to join the gym, I like that it's almost all adults, and it's clean and uncrowded. At center parcs there were so many grabby little hands on me in the pool - I expect a drink and dinner before all that thank you!

NIM has been on STP lots tonight, and has done a few surveys, while I've done a few Dooyoo reviews (not the best quality, but then the huge long book reviews I did didn't get crowns, so I have lost the enthuiasm to do them really well) and responded to some paypal issues, as well as free scratchies (OH doing them now too), onepoll and did a bit more hunting for MS jobs.

Just caught up on last nights chatter! Computers went down yesterday afternoon so spent the end of the day reading and bugging the IT man.
And Cinny... What on earth are you reading???!!!

Love Lessons, It's like a ruddy Mills and Boon or something! Still, there's a sweet story line going on - she's fallen inlove with an arty man but he's been sent off to war - I have a funny feeling he'll die so I'm reading on feeling quite morbid now.

Dinah - You and NIM are a money making team! Even more when you compair it to my night, sat down with OH and a cuppa watching the soaps and fell asleep at 9! I feel like a right granny, couldn't even make OH give me a piggy back upstairs because he's got man flu.
  • I don't so much mind the kids if they're playing nice, it's just when you get the little fat ones jumping in off the side and not seeming to be aware of other people. I get scared thinking God, if he lands on me he'll probably break my back!

Glad it was a technical prob Cinny, I noticed you'd been quiet in the afternoon and wondered if you'd gone home ill. Are you feeling better today? Book sounds interesting... I'm tring to get Backpack buy Emily Barr finished so I can start on The Reader which I bought in a charity shop about three years ago but still haven't got around to opening. I'm a bit anal - I have to read the book before I see the film.

I was going to do some pilates at dinnertime to stretch out my poor swim-back but have training this afternoon so I won't have time. Everyone else from my office is in the morning session so I might do work on a couple of reviews while I haven't got much to do...

I stayed strong, back with my lockets and day nurse again today with lots of extra fruit and water. I'm feeling better today, I get to sleep in till 7 tomorrow because I'm at work at 12 so looking stupidly forward to that. My mum is just the same with reading books before seeing the film, I clearly remember going to the last showing of lord of the rings at the cinema because she refused to until she'd read the book. I almost bought the reader yesterday instead of Bright young things, you'll have to let me know if it's any good once you've read it. Film doesn't appeal to me much though.

I think you did well on your swim challenge last night, Tete, 20 is better than nothing! Good in a full pool too.

20 lengths is good going Tete, that's my idea of a really good swim! (Remember that I'm more of a flounder then float kind of swimmer!).

I'm another one who has to read the book before seeing the film; then I complain because the film isn't as good as the book or they change the details etc! I'm reading the Diary of Anne Frank at the moment because I caught an episode of the BBC series and decided that I'd get it on DVD to watch it all but I had to read the book first! It's about time I read it to be honest, my Mum has wanted me to read it since I was about 11 but I was more interested in reading Sweet Valley High and The Babysitters Club!

Glad NIM is finding the job OK Dinah, it's nice to see that he's settling in well over here! I wish my BF and I were as good at money making as you two, he can't even get his head around Quidco never mind anyhting else!
