I just got an email from soap and glory with a £2 off voucher to be used on anything, minis are £2.20 so you could get their body scrub (really good!) for 20p. If anyone wants it let me know and I'll forward you the email.
Me me me! Please! I've PM'd you my email - thanks!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hi all, I've been so bad at keeping up with you for ages! I keep dipping in for a little read but no chance to reply! I've been having a nightmare with solicitors and estate agents (still no moving date but it looks like it could be tomorrow! I find out this afternoon!) and at work I've been training people so not much chance to sit and play on MSE all day!
Glad to hear your OH aka The Naked Irishman has found a job Dinah! That must be such a weight off your shoulders, any new developments with the living arrangements? I think a shared house with similarly aged people would be best, keep an eye on the local papers! I know what you mean about not wanting to live with him before you're married; now that I'm soon to be a homeowner with my BF we're going to have no money to save up for a wedding, let alone an engagement ring so it looks like we're going to be one of those couples I never wanted to be- unmarried at 35 saying 'there's no point now is there?'. I'll have to start entering every 'win a wedding' competition I see!
Good luck with the swim challenge Tete! I'm such a bad swimmer, I just flounder around until I'm too tired then just float about on my back!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Same here Birdie! When I was tiny I used to have to wear one of those 'special' suits with floats built in. I still maintain I could swim perfectly fine but I suppose looking back, wiggling on my side spluttering is not swimming. But the agents don't give you much notice do they?!
Mailed you it, Tete. Now go treat yourself!0 -
Got it, thanks 'Kate'! Haha!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Grief that's short notice! You seem very calm about it though!
I am now really hoping Naked Irishman (hereafter known as NIM, cos I'm lazy)gets a second job. One job isnt enough for him to live off unless he's in a £40 a week (max) rented room. If NIM does manage to get a second job, might be able to get him to stay anway, as he's gonna be home weekends only really. If he can't stay the number one option is a mate of mine at work is renting out his place, if we split it all 50-50 it would only cost me about £150 more a month than I pay out now. But none of this changes the fact that I don't feel right doing it at this point in my relationship.
Woman has emailed about a dress bought on ebay, saying its arrived crumpled (get over it) and smells badly. I'm absolutely livid, my house is smoke free, very clean, and it was not stored outside but in a box under my desk. Basically she saw the £5 sticker on the label when she paid £47 and is stroppy about it. But how offensive to say someones house smells.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Oh Tete you asked how I was suddenly £620 closer to my goal. Ebay money came through, £47 from amazon and £1.47 from quidco.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That woman sounds like sour grapes! It's really odd and mean to comment on the smell of something, I'd tell her to iron it, and then where she can shove it! :A
I know there must be a part of you that really wants to move in with NIM (Be careful you don't start calling him Nim in RL, although it would be a cute pet name!) but if you don't feel 100% good about it don't do it. You shouldn't feel like you have to just because he's moving over.
Back from Dinner now, figure I can move £300 into savings tonight! :T Maybe a bit more after to weekend (I can tell I'll become crazed about adding to it!)0 -
Lol I don't think he'd mind being called NIM. He's quite an easy going sort.
I suggested she washed it, I would always wash a new item of clothing before wearing it, and all creases and possible smell were highly unlikely to be permenant. Was that rude?!
Would smell worse if she went about shoving it places!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

What you said back to her wasn't rude, it's true! Clothing is bound to get creased in the post anyways. Maybe she was just picking because, like you said, she'd seen the £5 and wasn't pleased!
NIM would be a cute nickname, better than my OH's which is Frank! Although I am now re-living the Nim's Island movie in my head. Have you heard anything from him about the Admin interview? If he's going for it or not, i mean.0
