Very quick post, just got in from celebratory dinner with OH - check out new sig totals - I'm under 3k! And within spitting distance of clearing CC2. Very good day all round. Longer reply in morning. x

Naked Irish man should get his thermals on in this weather!

Snowing again today! We had a smattering yesterday but the town is covered again. Worried OH might not be able to get across tomorrow night if it's still going like this.

Well done on the job Lara! When do you start?

Well done on getting under 3k Dinah!!

    Congrats on the job Lara!

Naked irishman refuses to wear thermals, outside of the limits of his superpowers.

That £23 is bugging me! I could pay the whole thing off today, but, I want to try to get this money back from Barclaycard for the fees, so I'm going to write to them TODAY. Do not let me skip it again! HSBC still haven't refunded the fees actually, despite me signing the letter accepting their offer.

Haha Cinny you really make me laugh! Poor OH, is he to become known as the Naked Irishman from here on in?

Lara - Congrats on the job!!! You'll be sick of work before you know it :D

Raychee, sounds like you don't need marriage with what the two of you have gone through! Any news on the adoption? I know it's a long process.

Dinah, have I missed something? How come you're now under £3k? Congratulations and everything, but how come?! Sounds like you're feeling better about the whole thing (OH moving over) - have you made any headway on where he'll live?

On a completely different note, I am doing a fitness challenge
I read about it on my leisure centre's website, it's called the Channel Challenge - you have to swim the Channel (21 miles) - in a pool - over 112 days. It's for a charity but I don't fancy collecting sponsors so I'm just going to do it for myself and see if I can get back into swimming. It means 1,127 lengths by 27 May, starting tonight!

Oh my sweet lord, good luck Tete! My dad (big man though, my dad!) can do 50 lengths in an hour, I'm sure you'll be able to trump him easy! Plus he figured out an hours swimming is like 14,000 steps or something! You'll be a wafer at the end of it.

No work to do, been looking out the window for the past 2 hours! Looks like the towns schools are closed. On the brightside I've got over £16 on onepoll, £5 on TAB and 605 points ($30?) on globaltestmarket. Forgot my book today as well..
  • Haha, either a wafer or a big butch lass with massive shoulders! 14,000 steps is good though, especially as I have such a sedentary job :) I wonder how many calories it burns (ie, how much extra chocolate can I get away with if I swim?!)

Swimming burns 510 calories per hour, so that's about two king size Snickers?

3 creme eggs, 25 jelly babies or 11 Jaffa cakes..

Oh dear, people keep on talking about Twitter so I've joined.. I'm fascinated with Stephen Fry now, I now know he's eating oysters.
  • What?! Really - 3 creme eggs are only the equivalent of 11 jaffa cakes?! How many in a Cinny Brownie? Tastes like lots!
