The ultimate incentive to get debt free, can I do it by New Years?

Hi all, dad came home about 10pm today. He's feeling a lot better, nice doctors gave him drugs to reopen his throat etc! Thanks for all the best wishes, means a lot to me.
I want to be married, I think it's an important step, I just don't like the idea of a wedding. Does that make sense? God I'm too backward to be a girl!
I developed a migrane earlier, woke up at about 11pm. Really need to go to sleep, need to be up in 5 hours! However I have sat here and wrapped as many parcels as I could until I ran out of bags. Which is about 30 items, still have 13 more to do, and a couple of RiSi books.
Not sure how much I'll get done tomorrow, my room has decended into ebay madness, and I need to spend tomorrow evening tidying it so OH can get into it!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Glad your Dad is okay, did the doctors figure out what happened?
Does anyone know an easy way to do return rating on dooyoo? I keep on getting lost.
Hope you got to sleep in the end Dinah!0 -
Morning all - look at me in work nice and early! I woke up at six and decided just to get up and showered and go, and was disappointed to find that the traffic was only marginally better at half seven.
Glad to hear your dad's ok and home Dinah, I was expecting they'd keep him in overnight for some reason. Hope you're not too much of a zombie today after all that wrapping!
CMD - a wedding in Barcelona!! Love it! I absolutely love the city, it has a fantastic atmosphere. After living in Sevilla though I'm torn between which is my fave - Andalucia seems like 'traditional' Spain and I quite like that.
Cinny, I have real trouble keeping track on DooYoo too. I've been going to the Useful Stats thing on the left to see Who Rated My Reviews, but then sometimes they've just done a return rate for me when I've read at random and I don't really need to return it. I just try to keep an eye on the number of ratings I've recevied and make sure that the number of reviews I've rated is a good bit higher and on the balance of probability I should be ok!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Oooh I didn't know about the useful stats bit!
Not too zombified today suprisingly. Suppose I got the right ammount of sleep just in two lumps not one.
I've not really seen Barcelona, went once to catch a flight only there about 16 hours most of them spent sleeping, my boyfriend passed out in the heat on the subway on the way to the plane the next morning, and we had to spend over 3 hours queueing to buy a train ticket on the way out of it on the first flight which didn't warm me to it! Do want to see Park Gaudi though.
To do today:- Post my millions of parcels
- Go to Boots to get blusher with my voucher
- Tidy bedroom
- 2 Dooyoo reviews
- Package up the rest of the parcels
- Get 4 RiSi books out the shed
- Mi-info
- Free scratchies
- One poll
- Buy cat insurance (shes being sick again
)

If your cat's being sick it might have something to do with hairballs. My longhaired cat would occasionally cough up a hairball, but the shorthaired one was just being sick all the time, though not really sick, the food had hardly been digested (sorry!), and I read somewhere that this might be because of hairballs in her stomach (she's trying to cough them up but being sick instead, or something). I got some hairball stuff from the pet shop (like a syrupy stuff you have to splodge on their noses to make them eat it) and it seems to have stopped both of them coughing up anything...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Glad your Dad is okay Dinah. That must be a relief!
How long did you live in Seville for Tete? I will be in that area of Spain in September for another friends wedding and am really looking forward to travelling around that area. Any tips on where to go? Am so envious, I want to live in Spain!!!
Dinah, doesn't sounds like a great intro to Barcelona alright! Parc Gaudi is great. Very quirky but it is defo a must see! When you get rid of your debts you can start going on mini-breaks to all the European cities. Unfortunately that is what got me into debt!!!
Maybe you could go somewhere just the 2 of you (and parents) to get married. A few of friends have done that. No fuss at all, and they all loved it!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks Tete, never noticed the useful stats before! Just seen someone who rated my Barry M nail paint review has Barry Manilow as their display picture. Ho ho.
Hope your kitty gets better soon, most likely a furball like Tete said. Although that has reminded me I need to get my two kitties insured! You list sounds fun today, with the little bit of boots shopping.
Slugging through my work pile today. Not feeling my normal perky self! Will try and do a dooyoo review this afternoon and try and get off 1 star on STP. It's like they don't want you to leave an honest review sometimes!0 -
CMD- I was only there three months as part of a European training exchange type scheme, I worked for an olive oil company - very Spanish indeed!! Seville is definitely worth a visit; Granada too - the Alhambra is a must, but book in advance; and Cordoba is a lovely little city you can easily see in a day. Whereabouts is the wedding?
Oooh, my feet are itching! Madrid definitely next on my Spain List. too many places, too little time and moneyWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

The wedding is in Mijas. I have only been to Malaga before but thought it was a charming city and liked the way it didn't cater for tourists so we had to speak Spanish. In fact I got engaged there! Madrid is lovely, very big and regal but I really enjoyed my time there.
Mmmm- an olive oil company. Lush! I love nothing better than dipping fresh bread in olive oil and some olives on the side! Mmmmm!!!!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
