It's like this thread sends out siren calls to northeners, I must of got my signals crossed!
Is it wrong I'm slightly jealous of Dinah having time off of work? I know you're ill and all, but I'd love to be able to crack on with some MSE things without having to think 'I need to get blahblahblah ready for tomorrow'0 -
:rotfl:
I forgot to add before, I'm (relatively) local to you and Dinah! I live near Northallerton and go up to Middlesbrough and Teeside fairly regularly as we have no decent cinemas close. It's nice to find people from my neck of the woods (I live in the country and have to drive everywhere so I see Teeside as fairly local!):T
Hehe, I went on a drive on Saturday and had been driving south for AGES before seeing a sign for Northallerton, I hadn't realised how far away it actually was, I thought you were just near Guisborough but you're practically on the moors!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

We are, but we don't know if we're Northerners or Yorkshire folk, we've got an interesting mix of accents here I'll tell you! It's odd really, I'm moving to Ripon which is only another 15 miles or so further south and the people there are proper Yorkshire folk! It's quite nice to be amongst people who know where they belong!:rotfl:
I know what you mean about being jealous of Dinah's time off Cinny, I wish I could have a few days off so I can pack whatever's coming with me and stick whatever isn't on ebay! I know (from experience!) that if I did have time off I'd waste it by watching DVDs and making a scrapbook page so there's no point in taking it as holiday!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
My dad and brother are in my office doing paperwork, sending me crackers! My brother, with all his high tech gadgets was impressed by the fact my typewriter can, wait for it... delete letters! Where do the letters go?! Oh sweet lord.
Just wondering, has anyone ever won big on TAB scratchies?0 -
How DOES it delete the letters? Go over with a tippex type substance? And what on earth do you use a typwriter for in this day and age?!
Sorry, I know nothing of these 'scratchies' of which you speak...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

For writing addresses onto labels, I dream of the Dymo labelwriter!!
There's an white ribbon alongside the ink one that stamps it off in the same way the black one stamps it on. I admit it is quite fun to watch!0 -

Can't believe I've been gone for half a day and how much you've all chattered!
Lol Tete about my job! I try to get people to build things that respect the old without trying to replicate it. Thin line between a sympathetic listed building extension, and a Disneyland fake copy. Best of luck with your job app, although I bet you get loads of applications for the one in your office in this climate people are falling over one another to get anything.
You OH is a little older right Cinny? Maybe he's thinking its time to settle down but is testing the waters in that oh so horrible way men do when you just want them to spit it out and grow a pair. Not going to get anywhere if you don't take a few risks, better to regret the things you did than the things you didn't and all that.
Nice to meet you Birdie. Have a fantastic time moving in with your OH, very exciting time. Yep I've recieved my craftbooks, there is another one I really want so going to try to get to the Dooyoo payout with another 2 reviews tomorrow. I'll give you some reccomendations when I can get my head around the huuuuuge stack of them! At the moment my craft focus is going on finishing OH's scarf. At the moment I can almost fit it round my neck, which my brother tells me is called a 'buff' (unless I misheard, he makes me feel so old!). Try setting up just one desk for crafty things, or you can get those fold over boards you can work on then just fold up at night.
Hi Dex, how are you? Is your OH still with you or has he had to go back after Christmas? The website for videos is www.filmvault.co.uk. I haven't used it yet but someone on these boards mentioned it, I've pm-d him and asked if he has used them or just found them, as he has substantial posts and things and seems a real member.
Don't be jelous of me being off work Cinny, I'm so bored! And I hate having to call in sick. Feeling a little better this afternoon, this may be just a steroid high, but if it continues come hell or highwater I'm going back on Wednesday. And I never knew typewriters could delete letters either!
I've won a £2 on tab, and a £1 on tab and butlins, nothing huge though. A few people have won a fiver.
I don't know if I posted to be honest purpleroses, its one of those boards where you write a post and while writting 32 more posts have gone up! I did the £10 a day months ago, but I'm back at it now because it is an absolute bare minimum I need in order to reach my 20k challenge. Next month I think I need to up it to £15 a day! Quite irritated at the moment as paypal are still faffing on with my money, and if they' just give me that I would be at about £220 so nicely ahead on the month!
Realised my books are in no known order, some have expired and no longer listed, some are listed in more than one place, some are listed but actually already sold and gone, some never been listed. Need a warm day in a few weeks to sit outside and start all the books from scratch again.
I have 2 Dymos Cinny, I'm a real label lover! I'll label anything that moves! OH once labeled himself to show he was mine!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
