The ultimate incentive to get debt free, can I do it by New Years?

I think I'd get dizzy in a windmill, no corners! My sisters friend lived in converted windmill when I was tiny, I thought it was magic.
Just got an email from OH, talking about maybe moving in with his 'bezzie mate' slightly worried if he did he might go back to his student days of drinking too much and pretending he's far cooler than he actually is. - and it turns out he was just bluffing to see what I actually thought. Men!
Might try and get on STP tonight, thankfully when I was on last it was all solo artists with nice guitars, rap is just draining!0 -
Maybe he wanted you to say "Well if you're moving out of home why don't we get a place?"...
Ugh horrible morning! Just found out that our girl who's on maternity won't now be coming back in Feb and the girl we've got covering her can't extend her secondment, meaning that from 1 Feb there will be 2 1/2 of us (one part timer) covering 4 1/2 roles!!! That's until we can get some new people in, and then we'll need to train them up! And the other full time person is so lazy and useless that means it'll be poor old muggins here running around like a headless chicken! I knew this would happen, just knew it! Might go off on the sick with stress! Need to put lots of effort into this job app, need to get out of this madhouse! Oh woe is meWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Sending hugs of the none-dodgy-emotion type your way, Tete! Hopefully it'll sort itself out and not be as bad as it seems? As for the lazy one, keep on pushing things their way until they get the hint and start moving.
I think that's what he was going for, I told him yesterday that he should think about moving out on his own first. It's going to be years before I move out (because of money but mainly because I dont want to leave my mum!)0 -
Hi everyone! I've been reading this thread for nearly a week (In between pretending to work!) and I didn't want to post until I'd read the whole thing!
I can't believe how well you've done with your debts Dinah, it has really inspired me to get mine down! I'm in the middle of buying a flat with my OH which has kind of scuppered plans to clear down CCs as we keep having to buy furniture and such like but once we're in (hopefully next week! Can't wait!) I can start working at them. My OH had originally said that we'd have to wait until I was debt free to live together but we saw the flat and knew that we wanted to live there together as soon as possible so we're going to work at them together, bless him. We're aiming to be debt free (except for the scary mortgage!) by my 25th birthday (I'm 23 now).
Like you I'm kind of crafty and I'm hoping to start making things to sell for a little extra money. Have you received your craft books from Amazon? Any recommendations?
Just a little aside, how do you pronounce your name Cinny? I can't decide if it is like Kinny, or Chinny or Sinny! Or some other way?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Oh god, I'm not sure how to pronounce it myself! We'll go with Sin-ny, that's how it goes in my head!
Good luck with getting your debts down too Birdie, must be exciting moving in with your OH! My mother has always said it's best to spend when you move out and get what you want straight away - otherwise you end up with mis matched sofa set and never a full set of plates. Good luck with starting crafting, too!0 -
Right, Sin-ny it is! That's been driving me mad the entire time I've been reading this thread! I think I must be under-stimulated if the only thing playing on my mind is the pronunciation of your name!
I can't wait to get into the flat, hopefully we have everything we need now so the CC can have a rest! I have been somewhat MSE though, the suite was from a charity shop (I'm trying to push the thought that someone died on it out of my head as it looks very new!) and my parents has given us their dinner service that they got when they were married 35 years ago! There are 3 boxes full and OH is wondering what we're supposed to do with fancy soup bowls and tiny tea and coffee cups! My answer; afternoon tea followed by soup of course!
OH works evenings so I can't wait to spend my nights at home playing with card and fabric and beads and whatever else I fancy without having him in the way. The only problem is that he's a neat freak so I'll have to figure out a way of crafting neatly, that could be difficult!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. You can be ladies (/mens) that lunch! With dainty white gloves and all.
I can tell it's getting towards dinner, my brain isn't functioning right anymore. I know full well M comes before P in the alphabet but my hands are having none of it and filing all wrong. Need food!
Feeling any better yet, Dinah? I need to quit rambling on your thread!0 -

Some charity shops get in factory seconds or overstock or display models that the shops couldn't sell so we'll just say that's what yours is Birdie!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hi Dinah,
Hope your feeling better
You said a few posts back that you were selling videos, where do you selll them??
I have so many but to sell them on amazon would end up costing me money

That's a nice thought Tete! I'll stick with that! :rotfl:
I forgot to add before, I'm (relatively) local to you and Dinah! I live near Northallerton and go up to Middlesbrough and Teeside fairly regularly as we have no decent cinemas close. It's nice to find people from my neck of the woods (I live in the country and have to drive everywhere so I see Teeside as fairly local!):TOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary.
