The ultimate incentive to get debt free, can I do it by New Years?

I managed the challenge in a way! I failed once on each of them but that's not bad, only buying 1 magazine, 1 bar of chocolate and some foundation in 100 days.
I took on the resolution of not eating junk food but I polished off a packet of Jaffa Cakes while watching Jane Eyre on UKTVHistory. So that's me done already. There's also not buying things I don't need just because they're pretty! 1 day down, 364 to go.

What about the high fruit content in Jaffa Cakes? Surely they're not totally bad for you?!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

jaffa cakes are definately one of our five a day, if not two because of the cocoa beans in the chocolate, also they include milk which is good for the bones. Therefore they are a vital part of anybodies diet and NOT junk food!0

Lol Jaffa cakes are better for you than any other biscuit, but I think it's a push to call them healthy!
OH is seeming much more positive about moving to England of late, but then while our legal job market is rubbish, its a lot worse here!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Jaffa cakes are a cake not a biscuit Dinah (tsk), because they go hard when they're stale whereas biscuits go soft. Good news about OH though! All job markets seen to be rubbish at the min so he may as well be over here with you!

haha, I wish jaffa cakes were one of my 5 a day. Thankfully dad finished off the box of them so I'm not longer tempted by them.
Just seen the new challenges in your sig Dinah, good luck!
I've caught that sickness bug that's going about, so I best get back to my death bed. OH has got it abit too, and I think my brother is getting the start of it.0 -
Awww hope you feel better soon Cinny. I got given 1metre of jaffa cakes from my dad's office admin lady, but hey not joining the gym till they have more offers in feb (hope!) so I can munch till then!
Went into town today as OH had some MS jobs for a few places here so he treated me to lunch. Got myself a nice smart day/relaxed evening dress reduced from £130 to £5 in Monsoon, and another dress for mum reduced a similar ammount as it seemed a crazy bargain. Girl in my office got engaged on Christmas day, betting the wedding will be this summer. I'd imagine we'd all be invited to the evening do so can wear it to that if so. Think I'm going to go and pick up a few more of their hugely reduced dresses tomorrow, and resell them on ebay. Monsoon things always seem to sell really well, and these are brand new and tagged so should make a little profit.
My moneymaking resolution is to do my surveys each day without fail. So on that note, I'm off to see what has arrived today!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That's a real bargain! Haven't really gone out into sale land since boxing day. Good luck with selling them on Ebay.
Hoping to get a start on OH's present for our 13th 'unlucky for some' month together. Going to make him a booklet of 13 'coupons' as the one I made for a trip to see twilight went down a treat. Things like unlimited cups of tea for a weekend, a picnic in clumber park and (another) trip to the cinema.
The smell of everyone's tea is floating into the computer room and making me feel quite queezy so I best scoot!0 -
13 is my lucky number, I figured it's always nice to back the underdog!
Can't sleep again. So made a small mental list of things I need to do in January:
Sign HSBC CC reclaim letter and send back URGENT
Pay in cheque from Mazuma (£17) and Christmas money (£80) to bank
Finish Quidco list of free offers
Finish listing the last 2 boxes of books
Make a list of all the videos to sell
After 16th chase Quidco for the untracked ebay money
Buy new pet insurance
Book flights to Ireland for Jan
Book 2 days holiday from work for Center Parks at end of Jan
Send another letter to Barclaycard CC threatening court
Call Alliance & Leicester and see if they got the joint account form this time URGENT!
Ask HSBC what my IBAN number is so I can get paid for MS.
Paint second picture in OHs series
Credit £10 to Take a Break scratchie account
Complete all surveys each day on my survey account
Chase up where my onepoll account has gone!
Do daily mi-info clicks (and onepoll if I get it back!)
Do free ipoints offers
Do 1000 STP tracks
My 69 ebay items now have 16 items with bids on and 4 days to go, which I'm quite chuffed with to be honest. Can't believe some of the things that have bids that I was ready to bin, and some of the 'nice' stuff has no interest at all!
