The ultimate incentive to get debt free, can I do it by New Years?

Ahhh the romantic gift for OH. I bought 12 10" x 12" canvases, I've painted the first of these, and enclosed with it a card, basically telling him I'm doing a painting a month for the next year, going to record the important or special moments of our relationship in paint, or the little in-jokes. The idea being over time all the little canvases form one giant diary in multi colours and styles.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Show off!
What a sweet idea, sounds like you'll have lots of fun doing it!
I've be reverting to granny mode over the past few days, managed to get quite abit of sewing in, made a couple bags and altered some clothes. Just about to start some cross stitch (oh dear) I really want one of those 'abc' wall thing-a-majigs that you see in all the national trust houses but instead of it saying 'Victoria : 9' it will say a very wobbley 'KaTE : 28' at the bottom.0 -
Hehe! I really have to learn to use my sewing machine this year, was a very kind gift off ex's mum (not him, hence why it hasn't been burnt!) last Christmas. He got bubble bath. Think she liked me better!
Missing having my knitting while I'm here, I can't just sit and watch tv with nothing else to do, we were watching a film yesterday and I mentally rearranged and reorganised OH's room at the same time - haven't done it though, think he might think it's wierd, but it's prime organising and labelling territory!
He hung the first picture up this morning, above his bed, like that, feels like I'm still there when I'm gone.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Bless him! You could always re-do his room and say it was a late christmas present if he asks why.
I keep on wanting to get back into my knitting but i'm just so lazy these days! I think it's too much leasure time. I'm going crackers. Lazy Crackers.0 -
I'm gonna tidy it tomorrow night with a glass of whiskey - happy new year to me!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I am going to make this part of my new years resolution along with a life work balance. I have even placed my every first sells on ebay. No takers get but fingers crossed. Hi ROTE, nice to meet you! I've been doing every spare minute doing the extra money making and things and to be honest, I need to cut back a bit. So new year, I'm going to join the gym, and also spend more time doing the painting and things that I love rather than being so bloody minded and eventually boring. Since coming to Ireland 3 days ago the earliest I've got to sleep was 3.30, OH has been asleep at least 2 hours ahead of me each night, but I'm having something of a bout of insomnia. I think it's largely because I don't feel like I'm doing anything, I find it incredably hard to just sit still and watch a film together, usually I'd be knitting or making a list or drawing or listing books at the same time. And that's so wrong - why can't I lie still and be romantic?! In addition my ears still hurt from the flight - I was crying my eyes out on the way down it hurt so much.
Went out today to the shop, we bought bits and bobs for tonight. OH is cooking me dinner, then I'm doing a chocolate fondue after. HAve some wine, some whiskey and baileys - should be all set for a good night! Hope you're all doing something fun. D xDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
