Haven't had a chance to read the thread over the last couple of days but hope you are all in reasonable order. Birthday and anniversary wishes to them that have celebrated. It is Mum's birthday today.
Have been called in to HQ tomorrow yet again about my future - it really is all a bit unsettling. Do you think they will offer me a package as I will be 58 in December? I think not - this is local authority.
After my meeting tomorrow I am on a half day to make up for the time I gave up on Friday for the first meeting. I have been watching the weather forecast and it looks quite good so I am hoping to get some more gardening done. Weather today has certainly be good so hope tomorrow the same.
Love and special hugs to those who need them.

I've been watching a clever little squirrel collecting grass that missed being picked up when Mr LW mowed the back lawn at the weekend. Presumably it's being taken away for lining the drey.

Hello!
Elona - PennyPincher: on my holistic therapy course we were taught that olive oil is good for rheumatic conditions, but to use a 10% dilution with another oil, however, DD2 had regular baby massages once she came out of her incubator (she was born 15 weeks early) and the only oil that her consultant would let me use was olive oil BP. (She had to prescribe it!) I wasn't allowed to teach other mums either, even though one of the nursing sisters could prove how it helped (she did a case study) although no-one stopped them "watching" me
So all in all I think the dilution thing was the cost and I think it will help.
Spaghetti and meatballs tonight! Yum!
I'm loving Nelskis cake stands! [strike]nice buns![/strike] Is that beefcake then?
Thanks to Kaat for the wake up music, I was bopping around the kitchen with the cordless headphones on - luckily DS is used to his batty Mum by now..

Morwenna, I think it must be something in the water round here, Miss Twit shakes her head and wanders off regularly, especially if I'm listening to Footloose.
As Miss Twit has managed to restore the sound on my pooter, I'm off to listen to Rzl

Ooh, Mioliere, you've just reminded me that I promised to do some knitting for my baby niece - due in January.
I've got yarn & patterns for a blanket, and a couple of cardi's but was thinking about a couple of easy hats for her.....can you point me in the right direction? I'm an ex-knitter, from when DS1 & DS2 were single figures (now in their 20's
) but never had to do hats as MIL & Mum did them for me
.....
Hi Floss - there are a lot of patterns here for baby things including hats.

Mary - so sorry to hear the awful news about your ex-boss; what a dreadful shock that must have been.

Hello all !
Not been about much for a few days..........wel been here but busy doing christmas crafty stuff. Came to a stand still today though after phone call to say my old boss was killed in a car crash yesterday.........quite knocked me off my perch so all crafty stuff has been left for now.
Plenty of other stuff I can do that needs little or no concentration..........:j
Have a good day and hugs ((((((((((:o )))))))) to all who need them
Sorry to hear what happened mary - news like that certainly does 'knock you off your perch'.

Evening all
Hugs to Mary, sorry you had bad news.
Hugs to GB, hope all goes well tomorrow.
Hugs to everyone else in need.
I'm totally worn out & off to bed soon, I can't keep living on painkillers, so I'll try to sleep without them. There isn't anything specifically wrong, I'm just doing the work of 2 people & doing too much heavy lifting.
Dw's not working, don't think I'll bother to replace it, I manage without an oven & TD, so I can manage without the DW too. All the appliances were new when we moved in 5 years ago, so they are obviously all going bust together, I think they call it built in obsolescence (sp).
I am still completely overwhelmed by work & cannot keep up & there is no one to help me as we are short staffed, when they did send someone down, she stomped around like a sulky teenager, she's 31, as she feels she is too important to come & help me. I sent her back with a flea in her ear after reminding her how often I've helped her.
Oh well, as they say 'Tomorrow is another day' onwards & upwards.
Have a good evening.
Hugs Hester
