Hi Pippa - I'm so glad that your DH's BP has gone down. R.Mac posted on the Wooligans site asking for the pattern for the Pram Stars so I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of emailing her because I still have is stored on my PC. I tried to copy and paste it straight onto the site but, for some reason, the photo wouldn't paste.

You'll have to tell me how to post a photo onto Loving Hands because I don't seem to be able to grasp it!m I hope you and DH have a good day bargain-hunting.

Elona - I liked your tip about the olive oil and shoulders. My DH gets painful shoulders so I shall try that on him. I hope it does the trick with PenPin.

Well, better get some work done.

    See you later.

Morning all:)OMG the sun is out here so i'll be washing and pegging out all day:)
Also have to put the final coat of gloss on DD's room, god I hate the smell of it, have got both an onion and vinegar in there to soak the smell up, but it still pongs:eek:
DD is very up and down emotionally at the moment, which is understandable, but is looking for someone to blame for the split, and last nights victim was me, so I soon put her straight;) She is very very hormonal due to being pregnant, but I have done and continue to be doing all I can for her in every way and don't need the verbals on top:(
Dad's now got lymphodema to add to the joys, and can't even get his socks on, but thankfully the extra morphine is working :)
N9EAV I know how hard it is being on supply, and Sept is always quiet so I hope your wife hits lucky and gets work. There is nothing for me yet:(
Anyway HUGGLES to all the poorlies and peed offs today:A

    Afternoon all,

Hugs to all in need and congratulations to all who are celebrating.

Waiting for gas and connector to arrive so that I can try out my new hob...was to be this morning but Irish definitions of 'morning' can vary greatly from the real thing! Have been to collect last doors we need so will be at home for rest of day.

Depending on what cooking is at our disposal we will have chicken curry, sausage casserole or pizza for dinner.

    Have a good day all

    Afternoon all.

Firstly, (((((hugs))))) for PenPin and everyone else who's ill, hurting, troubled or unhappy today.

Sunnyday - I always tape programmes I want to watch, so that if I do fall asleep, I can catch up later. Also it means I can fast-forward through the ads, and not have to sit and watch them.:p

Charlies_mum - I haven't done cross stitch for ages, reading your post reminded me how much I used to enjoy it. Must start doing it again. One of the best ones I did is of two wolves; I've been told that from the other end of the room, it looks just like a photograph.:o

I'm very tired today; we went and delivered the local CAMRA magazine, "Beer Moos" to several pubs last night (no, we DIDN'T have a drink in all of them!!) and it's always tiring, as I have trouble getting in and out of the car.

Not sure what we'll have for tea tonight; Mr LW has to log on to work as soon as he gets in. Apparently one of their clients has demanded some work to be done AFTER 18:00 this evening, and he's got the short straw. He'll get in about 18:30, but I don't know how long the work will take. Maybe we'll have something quick'n'easy like fried eggs, or sausage inna bun.

    Have a good day, folks.

Nelski why dont my cakes turn out like that:rotfl:
I've just been given a bag of bramleys so i am going to make some apple pies - wishing so very hard that they will have the same qualities as those lovely [strike]beef[/strike]cakes:D
  • Hi everyone!

Hope you are all having a good day. It's a bit grey here but the sun is trying to get through so that is always good.

I made the lovely cheese rolls that were posted a few days ago and used real onions as I hadn't any spring onions in the house and they taste fabulous so thank you for posting the recipe!

Also made the famous twinks hobnobs, but added just over a teaspoon of ginger powder and they taste fabulous!

Kaat - thank you for the music honey!
r.mac - glad you feel a bit better today
Rzl - just looked at the clip from the proms, and you look fabulous!
N9eav - Great news on the job for your OH!
PennyPincher - try to get plenty of rest honey
Nelski - How lovely the cakes and cake stands look!
Candy - hope your daughter feels happier soon, though it's a long process
Pippa - Glad to hear that your husbands BP has gone down.

*hugs* to everyone who needs one and congratulations to anyone who is celebrating today.

P.S. The loo is still not flushing so using buckets to flush it with and now the washing machine is refusing to do a rinse cycle so the washing is in there full of soap!

Ooh, Mioliere, you've just reminded me that I promised to do some knitting for my baby niece - due in January.

I've got yarn & patterns for a blanket, and a couple of cardi's but was thinking about a couple of easy hats for her.....can you point me in the right direction? I'm an ex-knitter, from when DS1 & DS2 were single figures (now in their 20's :o) but never had to do hats as MIL & Mum did them for me :o.....
  • Afternoon everyone.
Have missed talking to you lovely people recently - family wedding, DS hogging PC & w**k taking over! Got a few minutes now, but baby (who went to bed tired & got up after 5 mins!) getting his shoes on & bringing mine, so think he wants to go out - it's like a dog fetching a lead! :D
I do a lot of cross stitch, too, & am lucky enough to do some for one of the magazines - wating for some work to arrive later this week.
Hazy sunshine here, washing may dry, but have used TD a bit this week.
DH still doing a project with friend on a night, so tidying up & making Christmas cards - both going quite well, for me!
Off to hoover, then chop meat/veg for tea - chicken in black bean sauce - & pick blackberries to cook to go with ice cream. Might take baby out for a walk - might tire him out for a short nap! :rotfl:

    Hello all !
Not been about much for a few days..........wel been here but busy doing christmas crafty stuff. Came to a stand still today though after phone call to say my old boss was killed in a car crash yesterday.........quite knocked me off my perch so all crafty stuff has been left for now.

Plenty of other stuff I can do that needs little or no concentration..........:j

Have a good day and hugs ((((((((((:o )))))))) to all who need them
