    Good morning everyone.

I posted yesterday evening but it was quite late and I hadn't had time to read the thread properly. I watched (and listened to) Bargain on that clip yesterday and she looked fantastic and sounded great. I love to hear the English language spoken properly - it seems to be becoming rare these days - so thanks, Bargain, for restoring my faith that good speaking is not dying out completely! I know, I'm fussy; my family are always telling me that!

Well, congrats to N9EAV and Mrs N9EAV on their good news yesterday.

Sunnyday - I always miss either the beginning, the middle or the end of programmes due to dozing off on the sofa! It's really annoying, isn't it?

Troo - if you want to do cleaning you could advertise in local shop windows; I bet there are loads of people who would want someone to help them out. My neighbour has someone who calls in twice a week to dust and hoover and, once a month, she spends an extra morning doing things like dusting skirting boards, vacuuming curtains and tops of cupboards. It's only about five hours a week but makes a real difference to my neighbour's stress levels. As you say you can fit it in to suit you, you could offer a last-minute service for people who suddenly remember they have guests coming for the weekend and so on.

    Thanks for the music, Kaat!

Well, the good weather is set to carry on into next week apparently - what a treat that will be!

(((Hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin (I hope you feel better this morning), to Beth and her family, Candygirl's Mum and Dad, Essex-girl's Dad, Jayward and all who need one.

    Churchmouse - :hello: :hello: :hello:

DH is back at work this morning; he left quite early so I've really been able to catch up with the housework. The WM and BM are both on, the veggies are ready for prepping for the casserole (in the Remoska, of course!) and I'm going to do something with some pears-on-the-turn for pudding; maybe poach them in some red wine. I didn't use the Remoska yesterday, OMG! DH suggested fish and chips from the chippie; he was supposed to make us one of his lovely omelettes and ran out of time but didn't expect me to cook either. Our local chippie is so generous with the chips we have a child's portion between us so it wasn't too un-MSE!

Well, I suppose I'd better go and do something. Hopefully I can come on here more often now that I have the house to myself and can get more organised!

Hope everyone has a great day.

    Morning everyone

Didn't manage to catch up with yesterdays thread, was busy doing all the stuff I should have done in the last 6 months :rotfl:

Am feeling a bit nervous, hate first days, with all the temping I have done you would think I was used to them by now, but guess as this is permanent it makes a difference

Been good this morning, washing on line, DW on, bolognaise sauce out of the freezer.

    (((hugs))) for those in need.

N9eav, congratulations on the car passing its MOT. Mine is a V reg and had to have a bit of work done, but DHs is only 4 years old, and has had £1100 spent in the past few months, and needs another £600 worth doing. Mind you, he does 50,000 miles a year

Good luck with the sofa hunt Dogrose, we had a new one a month ago, and can't get comfortable on it - I suppose we will in time. I is a leather one with recliner chairs, so should be comfortable, but is just so different to the last one we had. When you go to look for one, sprawl across it like you would at home :D

Good luck in your new job Dazi

Went into Hobbycraft yesterday, and was really good as I only bought the Aida I went in for. I started a fairy cross stitch last night for DGDs bedroom, and had forgotton how much I used to enjoy doing it. I also found a Christmas stocking in my craft box, which I don't remember buying, but that will be the next project.

Work today, so pasta and ham for lunch, and Spanish chicken in the remoska for dinner.

    Hope everyone is OK x

    Morning all

Quite chilly out this morning, but dry at least.

Haven't got much planned for today, as the girls need to catch up with some work - and we're building a skeleton piece by piece. Not a very attractive looking skeleton though

I still haven't got round to making my lentil soup, so that is a definite for today. I don't know where the time goes some days.

I've put the last lot of washing on the line, and it's blowy enough to dry thankfully. I don't like wet washing hanging about the house.

Hope you all have a fab day.
